Grand National Tickets

I'm looking at getting the Mrs some tickets for the 2017 Grand National as a birthday present.
Just wondered if anyone can recommend the best tickets to get? I've never been so I thought I'd get some advice before I buy. I've registered for pre-sale tickets so I'm able to buy them now.
I'm thinking of getting sone of the roof tickets. There will be a few of us going, so I'm thinking that will best as we can all mingle together, rather than having designated seats in the stands.
