Remember well. The final straw was a boxing match was it not?

i dont remember tbh, but that was the deepstack phase which i didnt like one little bit so left to try other sites.

he was a funny chap, ive still got the book he sent me after i won all 3 of his stt games he organised. 

he used to get chat banned alot and didnt learn any lessons

Sounds like a lot of the old fun posters are now banned. Would explain why many don't post anymore, because they can't.

nah there not many that got banned, most left for various reasons.

the site has changed quite alot of times, ie deepstack phase, speed phase. 

in the begining the open used to be over by midnight.

traffic is still the same but the play has got sooo much better imo

How could we forget Mick?

He still plays here from, time to time, not regularly but whenever it takes his fancy.

Lived in Crewe or up that way, worked for Network Rail on PW maintenance if I recall correctly.

In real life, he was great company, very civil as a rule, & a fun guy. Perhaps not best suited to Forum posting though.....
