Forgetting you are in a tourny after the break

Last night I enetred the £2.20 BH starting at 6:00pm

I was doing reasonably well with above average chips when the 6:55 five minute break came.
I was playing on my tablet so I put it down on the coffee table and went for a cigarette.

Well, the Olympics was on TV and I got engrossed when suddenly I remembered I was still in a BH tourny.
It was now 7:40pm and my 7k chips was down to less than 2k (I was glad I had any left at all)

It doesn't half sharpen your poker playing when you have to suddenly play from a low stack.

I think there were about 100 players and I managed to come 4th.

Ever forgotten you were in a a game after the break? Or is it just me going a bit senile in my dotage :)

    Haha :)

Never forgotten that I've been in a game after the 5 min break....

But I've played a few tournies where I've been slightly tipsy & fallen asleep, including a final table last weekend :o lol

Never forgot a tourney after the break, but, I have fallen asleep a few time before a tourney has started (especially after a beer :) I never reg early anymore after a beer.

I have missed a few hands during a tourney whilst engrossed in something on the telly on a number of occasions.

I have also missed an hour of a tourney once whilst multi-tabling because one of my tourneys auto opened underneath another one, I presume my autofocus was off or it just didn't come to the front because I was showing as away.

Trials & Tribulations of online poker hey!! - guess that would never happen live, cause the guy next to us or the dealer would give us a nudge if we nodded off.

I did apart from free rolls and the Saturday afternoon social freeroll.
I managed to cash enough times to buy in to the £2.20

And unbelievably, I came third in last night's BH as well.

I always find it pretty funny at the WSOP when people come back to that huge Pavilion room and can't remember which table they were on. They look around for empty seats but can't remember what their opponents looked like. After a while they go and speak to a floorperson and my absolutely favourite thing sometimes happens where they get the guy up on the stage at the front and make an announcement to ask if anyone recognises this player who has lost his table. The person always looks so sheepish which makes it seem even more like a kid lost in the shopping centre.
