After running badly (and playing badly to be fair) for a few weeks, something strange happened last night. In an MTT I flopped a boat, only to be rivered by a bigger boat after getting all the money in on the turn. Consequently this left me with around 4/5 BB's and around 8 places from the money.
Now, the old me would have sigh shoved the remains of our stack with any cards now, as I'm sure others would. For some reason though, I decided that I was gonna suck it up and persevere. Through some carefully picked spots and cards I managed to final table and only busted after getting the money in good and losing a flip for a min cash.
It's taught me a valuable lesson (one I should know after playing for so long) that if you've still got chips, you've still got a chance.
