Scouting for Girls....No Scouting for Northern Steel Owls, The north is stepping up now need the sou

Looking for Northeners to play something on the lines of the Ryder Cup competition. £20 to enter but going to two fantastic charities. Mine is Trinity Hospital at Clapham Common and Misty the opposition Captain for the south (traitor as is from sheffield lol :P) is The Injured Jockeys fund.

    Nice one D!

    Little G says he will play, but I don't want the job of phoning him to wake him up this time :=)

    He was a real grump only having four hours sleep, so I might have to give you his phone number and you can phone him to make sure he gets up lol. (He'll be much more polite to you, even if he does feel and look like the walking dead)

    FYI, the games will take place between 11am-6pm, on one of the following dates. (TBC via vote amongst players)

    Weds 28th Dec 2016
    Thur 29th Dec 2016
    Mon 2nd Jan 2017

    I would like to bump this post.  Steve, icetiger put his name down to play for The North. I  would like the northern players to step up and put their names forward to play in honour of his memory. The south pipped us last time but this time as Captain I want to win. Steve was an inspiration to all of us. Please of you could put your name down on the thread. Am sure Graham, StayOrGo will point you in the right direction. My team name isn't the Northeners Its Team Steel Owls after his beloved football team and for the Sheffield man of steel. Even if you don't like sheffield Wednesday put that out of your head. This captain needs you.

    north of Watford gap. After that then your in southerners territory and you need your passport ;) well that was what I was told when I was little.

    Hmm, not sure about Leicester being North, according to this link it is South:


    So perhaps you can be a "floater" Gary, and go on whatever team needs you the most :=)

    Leicester is clearly in the North Graham.  None of your shenanigans allowed.

    Sir Gary also plays poker like a Northerner.  None of this waiting for the best hand business.

    Steel Owl or Soft Fluffy Owl.  Easy choice,  Welcome to the team Gary!

    OK, I guess according to my original criteria Leicester is in the North, so Gary can join the North Steel Owls. (He says reluctantly)

    I am currently away, so haven't been able to follow the threads much.

    Could the captain's please list their teams to date on this thread, and also confirm that their players are available on 2nd Jan 2017 between 11am and 6pm.

    It was Steve's original suggestion that we do it all in one day, so it will be fitting to remember him in this way on 2nd Jan and whilst we want this to be open to everyone, they do need to be available at this time.

    However, having said the above, if people are unsure of their availability, then I suggest they provisionally join, and I will confirm their availability a few days before it starts. So if we could have a list of "definites" and "provisionals" on each team, that would be great.

    Steel for sheffield where we both come from and owls is the side of the city I was born, plus Steve supported them :P lol

    Now also looking for the southeners to step up as the North is getting fuller. Come on you lot step forward and put your name down on the other thread. Will be a lot of fun in Memory of the Captain of the Hit Squad and fellow man of steel and an owl, the one, the only Steve, IceTiger.

    LOL, yes indeed, not reluctant about Steel Owls name at all, just reluctant to lose both Gary's (Limp2Lose and SirGary) to the North lol.

    Figured if you have little G on your team, we could have Sir G on ours lol. :=)

    I'm sure we will balance the teams OK at the time.

    And I know why you are scouting for Southerners now D, So you can keep both Gary's.
