ICE TIGER :( R.I.P Funeral Arrangements

As most of you know Steve has been fighting cancer for the past year and still is. Last night he was taken to Shrewsbury hospital with a chest infection they had been treating with antibiotics. I have got permission off Helen, Steve's wife to post about this. Here is what she has put.

Our worst fears were confirmed this evening. Steve Ball has pneumonia. He is being pumped with various antibiotics but the prognosis isn't good. The fragile state that his cancer has left him in means his ability to fight the battle is greatly reduced. Henri, Max & I have discussed with his consultant a plan for his care over the next 48 hours which is not necessarily what we want but more what is best for him. His care plan even involves Splashy; they are arranging for us to take him in to visit him.

Thank you for your lovely messages of support both on our timelines and privately. We are so touched by the amount of people who think so much about us. You have been such a tower of strength over this last year.

    How brave & dignified Steve has been throughout all this ghastly illness.

    This is Steve's last update on his F.b page.

    Health Update!!!

    My temperature is up, my oxygen levels are are down, I have a high infection level. I am waiting for an ambulance to take me to hospital (within an hour, 10 mins ago).

    I am in the hands of my family & the medics now. If I cannot post again then nice meeting you. If I can then, great news.

    I don't want to get anyone's hopes up or down but the doctors have been in & have said I need to be in hospital. if I want to get through this weekend.
