Crikey the varied threads and queries Tikay answers - if there was a market on it I bet the odds on Tikay breaking the 40,000 posts barrier in 2017 would be very short!
Interesting thread and one I imagine has been delicate to answer thoroughly.
In Response to Re: Countries : I have already aswered that, as best as I was & am able, 2 days ago. (2pm, 3rd January). I said "I have no idea". I do, however, reasonaby assume that they handle it in accordance with GC direrctives. Poker is a tiny part of SB&G as a whole, so the issue is much much wider than just poker, by a multiplier of hundreds. And the resource (Staff) needed to deal with it will be considerable. If we take the example of the OP's situation, describing a Croatian National now apparently in Ireland, the amount of e-mails, forms & general correspondence going back & forth, & inter-company, would have cost many times in excess of 30 Euros. Customers pay rake/lose at sports betting/lose in the casino to pay for the cost of running the site. Hinting that it's fair for Sky to keep confiscated funds due to the admin costs of rooting out cheats shouldn't wash with Sky customers but it probably will because most of them are awestruck by your good self.

Oh dear Don, you on the Class A's again ? Posted by mumsie
What part of my disagreeing about Sky (probably) keeping confiscated player funds to themselves do you take issue with?
By all means, hate me and think I'm a tool etc but if you can't see how wrong this is (if Sky are indeed keeping confiscated funds for themselves) then you're the one most likely to be on the class A's.

rofl @ "awestruck by me".
If you don't wish to read my replies, fine, but repeating myself the third time now, I have no idea what happens to confiscated funds.
I am in my 11th year with Sky Poker & communicate with The Business numerous times daily, but I don't know the answer, so I don't really know how you can claim to know the answer.
I've also explained at great length the potential difficulties that can & do arise when trying to redistribute confiscated funds, & that they are & have been reimbursed on numerous occasions. So I know they ARE when it is possible. Beyond that, I genuinely don't know, & nor do you.
I also gave you advice on the means to take up such a grievance, either with The Business or the GC.
SB&G have one licence with the GC to cover Poker, Sports Betting, Casino, Vegas & Bingo. The Business was sold for £800 million 2 years ago & must now be worth at least double that. Without a Gaming Licence, the business is dead in the water. So everything it does it does exactly in accordance with GC rules. It would be madness not to.
I never "hinted" that confiscated funds are used to defray costs - I simply explained some detail to give proper context to the issue in the grand scheme of things. I did that because it seems to me that you have limited experience & knowledge of how Online Gaming sites work & have never owned one or worked for one. They make good money via rake & margin, that's the Business Model, & that includes treating Clients as fairly & properly as they can. And that is why SB&G is now the biggest site of it's kind in the UK.
I am here to try to act as a bridge between player & The Business, & if players have a genuine & relevant question I give them a prompt & polite reply. Always.
The answer I gave (4 times now) was "I don't know". That's a fact.
If you are not gong to read my replies, I am not going to respond further to you on this matter, as you seem to prefer reading between the lines rather than the actual lines.
The word "cheaters " is used many times in this thread, but surely they would be just illegitimate players as colluding is the only form of cheating that i can make out.( Gloss over banned software , that debate being exhausted )

Fair do's.
I thought a site rep that was in contact with the business several times daily would be well enough informed to answer what is a pretty simple question, rather than not know and seemingly not be able to get an answer but I guess I was wrong.
It looks like 2017 will see some significant changes from the regulators.
Not sure any of it covers the specific issue of players from countires outside those allowed on a site, but it seems more transparency on customers losses/profits, and greater transparency on the issues of 3rd party software and actions to prevent cheating and the actions taken when it is alleged/proven are in the proposals.
The following is a consultation document which shows what they are planning to change...
3.10 and 3.11 are probably most relevant to the poker side of things.
Note that most of the reporting requirements are between the sites and the regulator which is quite right imo, you cannot ever expect specific cases to be discussed in an open forum.
PS I am sure that SB&G are already all over these proposed changes and will have plans in place to comply, and not just because I am awestruck by the awesomeness that is tikay, (which I am of course, sat here in my sky poker pjs waiting for the plo8 tables to fill)
...but because they are a successful large company in a regulated industry and they will have to comply.
