The hand range is very marginal to me but being OOP is the complete deal breaker. There are plenty scenarios I might apply pressure with this hand in position but it is just likely to be a hand that leads to problems this early in a DYM.

Yup, it's a fold cheezy.
Nut flush hands are always a temptation to call with, but we just don't hit enough to justify all the chips we waste.
Another point here is your hand included 6, 8 & 9.
Most PLO8 textbooks will tell you these are called "killer cards", as they are so bad. Most straights you hit will either end up as a chop as the low will hit, or be the bad end for the high, so you almost never scoop. And when we set out to play any hand of O8, our ultimate aim must be to scoop.
As it happens, A-9-8-6 DS is a MUCH stronger hand in PLO, & I'd deffo see a flop with it if possible.
