I've just come across some really sad news on Facebook about Pat Walsh that I thought I'd share here because he was always a really popular guy on here... when he wasn't causing trouble, and I assume a lot of people won't have him on FB etc.

I don't know any of the details but sadly he passed away recently. Not sure on his exact age but he was deffo younger than me, think he was only 25 ish. So young to go :(

RIP Pat

    What a great lad.

Was a big personality on the tables and even bigger off it. I had the honour of going clubbing with him just the 2 of us in Nottingham once, the boy knew how to party!

I'm sure you're up there bench pressing and taking selfies! RIP mate.

Tragic news, I did share tables with him from time to time and did enjoy the conversations.

Just another reminder that life is so short.

Im in total shock, can't believe it!

Had some real good chats with pat on and off the tables I also staked him regularly as he was a great player.

Always had some really funny stories too, he seemed to live life to the fullest.

    RIP Pat.

very sad news indeed, Idon't think he was
more than 22 years old, such a tragic loss at that age.
He was very knowledgeable of the game,
with some of the stuff he used to write,
I used to rib him, that he was a 69 year old retired maths teacher.

    RIP Pat

Absolutely brutal news.  Met him at a few live Sky events and spoke online and such, top guy, very personable and funny.  No words to balance off how far too young he was to go.
