Live MTT in Honour of Pat Walsh

I was chatting to Percy the other day, reminiscing about Pat. and he suggested the idea of a load of us getting together and playing a liveament in honour of him. Maybe people could donate a % of what they cash for to a charity on behalf of Pat or something, but that's totally optional, it would just be good to get everyone back together again. It would have been good to do it an SPT/UKPC/Sky event but I don't think that's gonna happen in the forseeable so just thought I'd throw it out there to see if there's interest and to discuss where it should be/what comp etc.

Personally I think we should set the bar low in terms of BI just cos a higher BI may exclude some from coming along. DTD seems the most sensible cos obviously it's a good card room and it's about as central as you can get really, but other suggestions are welcome.

Any thoughts welcome, or just post to say you're up for going.

    Just spoke to Clare (RogueCell) and she's gonna have a mooch around for good places to host it in Birmingham, loads of good locations and again very central... great curry houses as well!!

    Nice one and cheers for the bump. As Andy said, been a good amount of discussion off the forum, think we got the people in this thread + Tommy, Bates and Clare in so far.

    Also, think Clare said she's got the agreement of a cardroom in Birmingham to host it so likely gonna be there, I'll have to speak to her again to get the name and post it up (cos I think she's forum banned).

    I think Clare said Pat's mum was trying to raise money for a mental health charity so I'll see if there's a specific one she had in mind and stick a link up.

    It has been a very long time indeed.

    I never left Brighton to be honest. Only went for holidays in Greece in the summer for a few weeks but I have been here since. I am working full time now and I have turned quiet until I saw the news about Pat. 

    I was (and I still am) shocked.
