bounty prizes not split in chopped pots

Evening all,
I just wanted to query the rules around when 2 players share the same 5 card hand, and there is another who is covered by both and all in, goes to showdown and the player with the most chips takes the whole bounty.
im not sure why this is the case on sky, nowhere else ive played i dont think has the same ruling. A few players ive come across in these situations have voiced similar confusion around the point, I dont think many people who play actually are sure on the ruling.
My opinion would be to use the normal system of chopped bounties.
