    I like mtts being top heavy but with 30 places paid and even down to 10th giving you just a fiver profit should the top 3 spots be worth over half the prize pool?

    +2, often when down to the final table for example it depends on who gets dealt the best cards and who wins the flips (not always obviously, but I am sure that most would agree that it is much better to run well at the end of a tourmament than at the beginning, you don't get anything for being chip leader outside the money).

    Structure (both payout and blind levels) need consideration. Latter more than the former.

    Pointless starting with 10k chips to then just become a shovefest with 2 tables left.
