Cool. When we go for real, you can add suggestions as time approaches, obviously there is no way I can include everyone's choices, all the time, but where possible, and when it fits in with the strategy, I will try to do so.

As I said, Winning Story was on my initial short list, before I replaced it with a trimmed down version.

Part of the reason I removed it was that no-one had it in their selections (that's my excuse anyway)

So always worth putting your views out there, as it is a team effort.

    Cheers,

    G

Well the Jackpot will roll over, and almost certainly the Friday SCOOP6 will too.

    No real surprise there.

I'm heading out now, so won't be posting for a few hours.

    GL all!

FYI, I quite fancy Chaplin Bay here in the 2.55PM at a price.

We had Chaplin Bay in Leg3 of the "would be" SCOOP6. There were just 3 UNITS on him. He was best priced, 16/1 last night.

Thanks Micky, it was OK, but the return JUST covered the cost of the perm on this occasion.

At least our "banker" lost. First time in the trials. :=)

All though it was clearly Hobson's choice, as it was well odds against and we need our "banker" to be well odds on.

    Cheers,

banker let me down on my placepot, i like to keep mine below £10 as my roll not great atm. will take that tho as atleast rest are there or there abouts.

tbh i should of studied the race more but you picking the winner was a great selection.

      Hi Graham

Scoop 6 tomorrow has 100K EXTRA if only one winner, is this a promotion they run often?

Yes it is and the syndicate's bets will be placed with the bookmaker that offers this.

Although for reasons well documented, I don't envisage us doing SCOOP6's for real as they are £2 UNITS and generally too competitive, so the cost of the perm required would be prohibitive.

But never say never, if an opportunity to have a crack at this presents it self down the line, we can consider it.

It would be nice if they did something similar for Jackpot's, but i don't see that happening.

    Cheers,

    G

    Roger?

How competitive are tomorrow's SCOOP6 races. Have you had a look?

      Looks quite competitive.

      Between 12 - 17  runners,  Class 2 races

Yeh, not even going to attempt a trial run there. :=)

Would be interesting to start tracking the Jackpot Roll Over now though.

See if it rolls over for a few more days.

    Cheers,

Will keep a watchful eye on it.

How big does it need to be for you to get interested?

When we go for it for real, how big it needs to be is conditional, and inversley proportional to how competitive the races are.

Which in layman's terms means it doesn't need to be that big if we feel the races are NOT very competitive, but it would have to be SUPER HUGE if they were.

    Make sense?

However, I suggest we'd always need a minimum rollover of £30K

There could be the very rare scenario when we went for it with no roll over. This would be when they guarantee the pool at £10K and I expect there only to be about £2K in the actual pool.

But the racing would need to be VERY NON-COMPETITIVE.

    Cheers,

Ultimately we have to be quite confident, that should we get the Jackpot/SCOOP6 up, that the dividend will pay more than an accumulator on the winning horses would, otherwise we are not getting value from the pool.
