Yep aces lost...I called a min raise on my BB with 10/9 suited..The flop 8 8 10...Aces check so do i..Turn 10..aces go pot i call..River i think was 3..Aces shove 5.280 i call..I then got slated for winning lol.My point is obviously aces do get beat but checking on flop lets me get house plus shoving on a 2 paired boardis asking for trouble.So yes they do get beat but you are allowed to fold them sometimes some players fall in love with them too much..
