Doubt this has ever happened before.

On Sunday, the runner-up in the Main Event was MattBates.
 
On Monday, the runner-up in the Main Event was MattBates.

On Tuesday, the runner-up in the Main Event was MattBates.

Not going to give him any sympathy - he collected the fat end of £4,000 along the way - but that is some run of form.
 
He's a top player, and a top bloke, always ready to help others with advice.

Well done Mr Bates. Now, how about you try winning one?

    It would look too suspicious if Sky Poker let one of their employees win 3 mains on the spin. Hiding the con by guaranteeing him R/U was a bold idea.....until someone, who obviously didn't receive the email, posted it up on the forum.

    Yeah just want to say that even though he is a top player he still finds time to help people learn and improve thier game. I've never seen him moan if he gets a bad beat.
    Well done Matt in my opinion you are a great ambasador for the game. Good luck to you ;)
