    Yeh, it's never going to pay much when every favourite is placed.

    Quite often with big perms, you'll get less back than you put on, but you give yourself a chance to get a big one.

    Just ask Wynne. :=)

    Just realised that Graham but wynne seems a legend at these bets and whenever I have tried them mostly very small they have never got near.

    Yes Wynne is definitely the Placepot king. The thing he does so well is balance his range of favourites, mid priced horses and with the occasional outsider thrown in, which can work well. 

    He has certainly been on his game recently, fair play to him.

    His bets are a good example of how to give yourself a realistic chance of a big dividend without it being a wild punt because he has so many different ways of winning different "ranges" of dividends.

    So it's not like putting all your money on a 33/1 shot, but if things fall right (which they did) then he can get that type of return.

    So don't be disheartened, you are doing the best thing by trialing it. Not like me, I put the money on before it's really proven to work, but that's me lol. Always impatient :=)

    impatient !!!! that's my middle name

    I just know I cant seem to work this placepot game out. When I do find a longer priced place a fav seems to scrape in 3rd and spoil it. Before I have left favourites out and of course they come in and my outsider doesn't.

    You are right wynne seems to have got the balance sorted.
