Well played Boggo. I was hoping to wake up to read news of a couple more double ups and a little sweat approaching the bubble, but alas, it was not to be.
Play is currently in Level 15 and the bubble is sloooooooowly approaching. The last WSOP update said 1233 were left so we need to lose another 150 or so. This will take a while. The first million chip stacks have now been collected, two of them in the hands of British players Artan Dedusha and Matthew Moss.
2004 ME winner Greg Raymer has recently been sent to the rail, joining other former champions Johnny Chan and Joe Hachem who bust earlier on Day 3, That leaves just Tom McEvoy, Joe Cada, Scotty Nguyen and Carlos Mortensen going for the rather unlikely double victory.
Kit Kat? For reasons which are unclear, the break has been extended by 10 minutes. This may be connected to colouring up. Posted by Tikay10
The reason for that extended break earlier now become clear. This is from PokerNews;
"When players returned from dinner break, one player's seat was empty, and the roughly 630,000 in chips he previously had in front of him were gone, as well. It turns out that this player had been banned from all Caesars properties and thus barred from entering World Series of Poker tournaments.
The player had knowingly bypassed security, going to great lengths to hide his real identity when registering for this tournament. When tournament organizers found out, his stack was terminated, and the chips were removed from the tournament. He left the premises without incident. His tournament buy-in remains in the prize pool, so the payout is not affected by this incident."
The matter was discussed on Twitter, & it seems the guy had been banned from all Caesars properties for card-counting at blackjack.
It seems he wangled his Main Event registration by regging with just his first middle name. In doing so, Harrahs were able to claim wilful deception.
In Response to Re: WSOP Main Event, Day 3 : Hi All, Just like to say a huge thanks to everyone who wished me well today. I've had a fantastic time so a big cheers to Sam Mark Tikay and Jock Mcjock Markycash plus the magician (Darren) for all the help and support this week. I never thought I'd get this far and I've used up a huge amount of adrenaline ( more than when I'm landing) this past week. Going to a show tonight with the wife and son. I'll be in Manchester for day 1B next month. I better rush off and cancel my order for the Tesla! Cheers All Boggo Posted by boggo
Top Man Boggo, been an absolute pleasure.
To those puzzled by the reference to Darren the Magician, he is a poker playing friend of Sam & or Mark who has been with us all trip. Not only great fun, but far & away the best magician I have ever seen.
He showed me one particular card trick & it keeps me awake at night, wondering how on earth he managed it.
Allen Cunningham is still there among those chasing the cash
Most WSOP ME cashes (according to Hendon Mob)
10 Berry Johnson 9 Bobby Baldwin, Humberto Brenes, Doyle Brunson 8 Chris Bjorin, Johnny Chan, Phil Hellmuth 7 Allen Cunningham, John Esposito, Jay Heimowitz, Jason Lester, Donnacha O'Dea, Mike Sexton, Justin Cuong Van Tran
of those on 6, Aditya Agarwal may still be in.
Edited to correct a couple of spellings in players' names.
Berry Johnson (most WSOP ME cashes). He sits in the $1 $2 $5 Big O cash game here at The Rio most nights. Can't recall him ever having a losing night. He must be in his eighties now, but he's as sharp as a tack.
Thanks for that Tikay. Glad the magic was a little light relief on your tough days at the Rio. Awesome Job reporting been really good today to see how all the boys (and girls) have been getting on.
Think this is my first ever post on this forum so Thanks for namechecking me. Thanks to You, Neil, Sam and Mark from the sky team for hanging out, having fun and in Neil's case sharing a lot of fun stories. A LOT.
Also a big well done to Boggo for making day 3 of the main. He did a great job and it has been great to meet him and the test of the family this week. Been great to get to know everyone and do some magic for them this week! Lets hope Timmy. And the rest of the gang still in the little one can get it done and bring home some bacon for Team Sky!
Level 15 has ended with 1104 left, so 20 off the money
Players are on a 20 minute break (as is normal at the end of every level in the Main) and will then reconvene to play until the bubble breaks. Could still be some time.

Now corrected to 1103 left. The break has come at an opportune time for the WSOP as it gives them the chance to re-check their figures before hand-for-hand play is necessary. Too late to find you've miscounted by one somewhere after the bubble
Edit - another tweet from WSOP now says the number is 1102. Keep re-counting and at this rate we won't need a bubble at all.
They're also using the break to colour off the 500 chips, hopefully they will do this in front of the players this time as there appears to have been a bit of a controversy when the 100 chips were raced off, with the players not present and one table was 25K chips shorter than when the break started.
Two players bust in equal 1085th place. As the stone cold bubble boy gets a free seat at next year's WSOP Main Event. Quan Zhou, who had tried to run a 376K river bluff past Davidi Kitai on the bubble won the extra hand to get the better of Roger Campbell who leaves empty handed.
There were four all-ins and calls on the hand for hand. All the other hands played out normally then the hands with players at risk were played in front of the ESPN cameras. Both Tex Barch and Jason Funke managed to double up with their tournament life at risk, but the other two went out
Quan as mentioned above tried a big bluff on Kitai, but as the Belgian had a full house it was a formality when the cards were turned over that he was out.
Campbell got it all in on an all hearts flop holding the bare ace, unfortunately for him, Kenny Shih had Q-10 of hearts, and without a heart on the turn or the river, his main event was done too.
Jeff Del Castilho was very thankful that the bubble burst promptly. He didn't need a very big bag at the end of the night, as his "stack" consisted of just two yellow 1000 chips, equivalent to just two antes. Those chips are worth $7500 each to him as he has now min-cashed for a cool $15000.

Incred really - he had nearly 700,000 chips.

Doug Polk among those who have busted recently.
PS - So how did you do that trick?

Play has resumed after the break.
1,102 left.
This will take a long time.
Min cash for the 1084 lucky ones will be $15000
1,087........
1,086.......
The bubble has just burst at 01.22am, & the clock has been stopped with 1 hour & 9 minutes of Level 16 remaining.
Players are bagging up now, & any minute now, 1,084 people will be in that Rio corridor.
