    Just posted a hand for the first time so may not be too good.
    this is from  a £3.30 timed torny, not sure how HEMS won any chips. 
    May just be me but can anybody enlighten me.

    these are what you call side pots. 

    The size of your pot is 3750 chips because the amount of chips you win from opponents will match the number of chips you have added to the pot yourself which is 1225 chips here.

    If it was just you who called ladder's AI then he would have recieved 2825 chips back right away but HEMs makes the call therefore the 2825 chips ladder would have got back are instead part of a side pot between himself and HEMs once HEMs has added his 1225 chips into the main pot to match you chipstack.

    Yes see it now. I was thinking I had more chips than I actually did.
