In Response to Re: SPT Manchester - Last Chance Satellite TONIGHT : that's true, maybe I did get a little over excited at the sight of having what looked a great stack. The chat box is what did it built my excitement up heavily. when the 54v 44 happened I became annoyed then starting shaking when tommyD hit and was actually annoyed then. If I hadn't been so excited in the first place I would have probably went **** before thinking well i will have to use my cash Posted by craigcu12
In Response to Re: SPT Manchester - Last Chance Satellite TONIGHT : Congrats Mich, well done. Nope, you don't need to do anything - just turn up at the Venue on Friday. If there are any problems, just ask for me & I'll get you sorted. See you Friday. Posted by Tikay10
In Response to Re: SPT Manchester - Last Chance Satellite TONIGHT : Unlucky Craig. It's a cruel game sometimes. Posted by Tikay10
It certainly can be cruel especially tournaments. Maybe I should have left this alone because the last thing I needed was a big disappointment on the actual week of the SPT.
Looking at it in a more positive way I got into this via an AI sat and it makes me realize I've not lost anything anyway because my intention was a direct buyin and that will still happen.
Looking forward to seeing yourself and everyone else at the SPT
So you got tilted over two hands, one you didn't even play and one where you lost a flip? Or have you posted the wrong hands? Posted by FCHD
Perfectly possible to be annoyed by short-stacks winning hands in satellites, rather than them busting and you getting a seat. Tilt anywhere is a leak though, and being annoyed is not very becoming either !
Tilt affects future decisions, I don't see any evidence of tilt here, just a standard spot losing a flip - and also I'm not sure how you get tilted after you've bust, but I suspect Craig just means he was left annoyed and frustrated.
In Response to Re: SPT Manchester - Last Chance Satellite TONIGHT : Craig there is no point in getting tilted. It happens, it's poker. Stop wasting energy and think positive. I could have tilted in that hand against you when you had AA and I had 66 and I flopped the 6 and then the Ace hit for you and I lost a massive pot. Did I tilt, nope as there's no point. You need to fix your leak, stop tilting and put it out there for constructive critisism. Posted by Darkangel7
Jac35 type HH reporting!
Craig flopped you dead pretty much, you turned the set, but Craig had already spiked his set on the flop and checked back.

I probably posted 1 wrong hand.
At the time of H1 my stack was great, I was now extremely excited thinking the chance of a cheap entry is highly likely. What happened was I became stunning at the sight of how easy it was for Sc1m1tar to get himself doubled up.
Sc1m1tar now had his stack doubled up but tommyD was still short unfortunely I myself allowed him to get doubled up.
This hand was what really did it I was left shakin of frustation at the time. TommyD had got lucky against me earlier when AI AQ v J10 I flopped TP but he gets a runner runner flush enabling him to survive, it's happened once surly it couldn't happen again but it did.
we had joked previously "tommyD only does as well as he does because of extreme luck" Unfortunatly being autistic I sometimes take jokes too seriously which is what happened here. I was about to speak in serious words stating I was stgupid to go AI tommyD is always gonna win but TK himself did the joke in time before I put my point.
Rather than get yourself so annoyed I would have a look at the hands. I cant remember the stack sizes at the time but I think the A10 might be a fold, you lose this hand 36% of the time (although we need to be looking at his range rather than this specific hand). Getting annoyed wastes energy, spend that time working on your game.
Thanks all, what you've have said has put my mind right. My final conclusion is this reaction came from a build up of things coming in such a short space of time, I'm in this from an AI sat rather than needing to directly buy in, I gets a few good hands on the way enabling me a great stack, I make it to the bubble with what most would say was a great stack, I get shocked with the way one short stack doubled up and all this leads together creates a reaction that was more tilt from a move that was poor.
Fold should have been the correct move because when I think about it silencePLZ could have knocked tommyD out himself or wasted his own chips doubling up TommyD the way he was playing therefore I would not have got myself into the situation of requiring a double up.
I might still have the odd tilt but my tilt control as a whole is way better than it use to be. I used to over react and e on tilt from just a single bad beat but now it takes lots of things to happen at once for me to really get tilted and even that only lasts a short time.
Was totally card dead last night, but had a fun game because of the chat box. Was really nice to see players that had been knocked out hanging around and railing their buddies.
Well done to those who got a seat, run golden on Friday.
Would have loved to have gone, last Sky poker event I went to was Luton about oooo 4/5 years ago I think. They are great weekends

Unlucky Craig, I was watching the FT and do think AT is a fold there. You'd be amazed how tight you should be folidng to all-ins on satellite bubbles, I'd be shocked if QQ wasn't a fold too, and KK is probably borderline if you run the numbers.
For some reason I've always found near misses/bubbling in satellites (for big comps) are harder to take than pretty much anything that happens in regular MTTs, dunno why.
Unlucky anyway, we all make mistakes, glad you're still gonna get down there and play. I'm hoping to BI direct on the Saturday, which day you playing?

I'm not really that use to sats like this, I'm always playing the semi where their is a selction of tables and seats available and the short stacks might be on a different table entirely where I was sharing the table with everyone here and I didn't have the easy choice of everyone folding non stop.
being bubbled on a sat does give me bigger risk of frustation that any normal MTT. I think it's the fact bottom prize is also top prize. You've either won the maximum or nothing at all and the decisions can be make really costly at times as was proven here and being my first SPT makes is really bad.

I know Gutted....not had a Tikay Hug/Ciggie/Latte/Catch up for a while. My other half told me off for not jumping into the Sat's earlier and making sure I got my derriere up there (do you remember John? You hosted a show at his house and we all saw each other at DTD a few years ago).
Craig, I play a lot of sats and I'm happy to fold here. Obvs happy to get it in first but with only 600 invested you can bin this one.You have 8 BB's behind which in a sat is a lot. You just have to remember that you only need one chip to make the prize, not the most.
