Touch screen laptop for Poker?...inc Poker update, 11/8/17

I am looking at the possibility of playing 2-6 tables on a touch screen laptop, does anyone play on one and if so can you just use the touch screen option for each table, or do you need to use a mouse or pad as on a normal laptop? (Which obviously defeats the object of buying one).
Also, would an i3 processor be enough or would I need a stronger i5 model?
Many thanks in advance for any help.

I use a touchscreen Laptop, and if im honest i forget its touchscreen most of the time, as its far easier to use the regular touchpad... you can play poker using just the touchscreen but it will get a bit annoying when it comes to typing in your bet amounts. In terms of processor thats not something i know about but i would imagine any laptop which has a touch screen will be a high enough spec to manange 6 tables on Sky very comfortably.

Generally unless you go for a combination laptop/tablet (because you want/need the flexibility) I would stick with a normal laptop.

For multi-tabling poker I would recommend...

Invest in a high res larger separate screen (unless you actually play on your laptop on your lap)

Processor speed shouldnt be an issue, the main issue should be a good broadband connection, and not running much else while you are playing.

If you really need to run other stuff while playing then yes spend more on processor speed and more RAM.

PS How is the painting going?

Thanks percival09, yeah you are probably right. I've been/am playing on my tablet with touch screen for about 9 months or so I guess, & it is not having to keep clicking the mouse that I like with the touch screen, hence why I am thinking of trying it out on a laptop with the view to playing more tables also.
    Best wishes, Dev.

Thanks Phantom. When you say invest in a high res larger separate screen, would that be a touch screen? & how would that work, would i/could I link it up to my pc(i7), or would I need to buy a laptop to go with it?
    I have an i7 tower & a 27"monitor already.
I have a pretty good broadband connection(sky fibre), so no problems there.
Yeah, only have the poker running when playing, so an i3 or equivalent should be fine then.

Thanks for asking about the painting. Haven't done any since February 2016 as I am resting both arms as much as possible, due to my long running 'tennis elbow' injury, and also the reason why I am only playing short sessions mainly on my tablet, & the reason for my laptop touch screen enquiry.
Nearly  better though so fingers crossed will be back painting & playing 'proper poker again very soon...
Mind you I thought that 18 months ago, ha ha.
    All the best, Dev.

A friend of mine has a touchscreen and thinks its fine once you're used to it, not sure it would be for me though.

Remember to wander into your local PC World and demand £20 off, then storm out if they turn you down.

Big deal, I've been playing with buffet elbow for at least 6 years now. I find a burger whilst playing numbs the pain.

Tbh, I couldn't give a monkey what you or your +1 mate thinks.
This is an 'open forum' & anyone is entitled to ask a question regardless of if they are playing here or not.

Funny you say get over yourselves having posted  "Don't all hurry with your replies you might get killed in the rush!" after a couple of hours of no response.
