    I know we have agreed, but this really is a tough ask, are we sure we want to go for it? I'd say our chance of success is less than 2%, probably still +ev, but massive variance.

    The only way we can even consider it is to have the favourite (CAPE BUNTING) in LEG 3 as a "banker" in two of the three perms.

    Up to you guys?

    P.S. We will still do NAP's and REMOVALS as if it's a definite GO-LIVE, but we may abort if the consensus leans that way.

    P.P.S. I will probably do a PERSONAL PLACEPOT on some of our selections (10p lines), others may like to do their own Placepots too on a subset of the selections. A high Placepot Dividend is likely, and it could be a consolation if we have another near miss with the Jackpot, but I think in this instance, Placepots should be done individually, so will NOT be a Syndicate bet.

    I've posted my thoughts on the other thread, and with every race looking very difficult, normally I would say defo not to..... but I don't contribute financially so my opinion doesn't or shouldn't count.

    The fact it is probably going to be £120K+ jackpot could well sway it though. The only other possible option would be a smallish (say £200) single perm attempt (as per Jordz and Wynne's successes) using people's NAPS so at least you've got an interest in a big Jackpot and would just be using remainder of winnings from the Hedging the other day.

    I have noticed a few times that Rollover Jackpot's have been won with FAV, 2nd FAV, or 3rd FAV in each race, though usually one or more of these have been well backed quite late (which defo doesn't help)

    EEEEEK!..... very difficult choice.

    LEG 6: ABE

    324 lines = £162.00

    288 lines = £144.00

    This is just an example in context of the Newcastle card. In this example the total outlay would be £498.00. The A's,B's,C's, D's,E's and F's will be decided by NAPs, REMOVALS and MARKET MOVES as usual. Although a real outsider (16/1 +), in any race, would bust even the F's.

    I have also crunched some numbers regarding the likelihood of a rollover. Estimating that approx 50K will be added to the existing £80K, means there would be approximately 100,000 total lines in play.

    Looking at the average expected SP per race, I come to the conclusion that there is probably a 40% chance of another rollover.

    I suggest that the statistically minded of you take a look at all the stats above and post your thoughts.

    VERY tough cards but huge jackpot and surely we need to go for it. All depends what majority are looking to get from this. 

    ie big win or hoping to get part of win. In other words there is a chance of a rollover and easier cards on another day giving us more chance but that applies to all who enter so we might win it Friday or Saturday but if the cards easier likely others will to. 

    I would go and also have Cape Bunting as banker on its own to give us as many of the other horses in the other races as we can afford to put in. 

    CAPE BUNTING'S 7TH IN LISTED RACE PROBABLY BETTER FORM THAN THE OTHER HORSES WINS.

    Happy to go with the majority obviously

    My gut feeling is that this is far too hard and if it was just me considering doing my own attempt  it would be an easy diecision to say no. The point of a syndicate is to be able to take on more risk without too much cost on an individual level so on that basis it would be worthwhile having a go when there is likely to be a big pool.Of course my own holding in the syndicate is quite small so those who have a lot more might feel differently !

    I am sure everyone understands that the expectation of winning should be quite low, however, if we did somehow manage it, then we can expect a decent dividend.
