DYM questions and discussions

I know there is a forum for dyms but I dont think anyone reads the threads there so I have a few questions if anyone can or would like to contribute.

Q1 What is the most and least chips you have seen someone finish with in a dym?

Q2 If all players went all in the first hand and the strongest hand took all the chips, how are the next 2 to cash determined?
If is on hand strength (as in second and 3rd best hand) what if 3rd best hand was shared by both players. Who cashes then?

Looking forward to anyones feedback. If I think of anymore or anyone has any other unusual dym questions feel free to add them here.

Ger

1a) Seen somewhere around the 10.5k mark as the highest, where the big stack just keeps forcing everyone to fold and the blinds have got to like 400/800 or whatever.

1b) I've cashed a DYM with 2.5 chips before because of people not understanding that they can just fold and let me bust.

    2) This was definitely tested before, there is a thread somewhere. No idea where, it's several years old :\ Disappointingly, I think it turned out that it was random beyond the winner of the hand winning the chips, but I'm not certain.

    When I see this question.....

"...Q2 If all players went all in the first hand...."

....which is not infrequently, I always wonder the same thing.

If it's a standard DYM, NLH or PLO (not PLO8), and the FIRST FIVE TO ACT all move all-in, surely the last to act would just fold? In fact, the last TWO to act would just fold, would they not?

In almost all cases (except PLO8), there will only be one winner from the 4 all-ins, so the last 2 to act should pass, surely?

I know I'd fold, but I'm a big fan of letting the others do the work, & take all the risk, in DYM's where possible.

In Pot Limit how far does the betting have to go around the table to get all the chips in 1st hand?
Pot - Repot - Repot, etc.

    UTG: Call 20 plus pot 50 = Raise to 70, pot 100
    HIJ: Call 70 plus pot 170 = Raise to 240, pot 340
    CO: Call 240 plus pot 580 = Raise to 820, pot 1160
BTN: Call 820 plus pot 1980 = Raise to 2800 maximum allowed, although our stack is 2k.

So the button is first player all in, and for everyone to be all in, the action would have to get back to the cutoff a second time preflop in order for him to call off the remainder of his chips.

Ok so Tikay see if you know the answer to this.

PLO8 BH mtt. One raises, small stack calls and is all in, another calls. They check out. Small goes bust. One wins the high and other wins the low.

    Who gets the bounty?

    No idea, Ger.

As you may have observed, I'm not a "huge fan" of that particular format, so it's not something that has ever exercised my tiny mind.

In Vegas this year, I played every PLO and PLO8 MTT available for over a month, but I still swerved the PLO BH at Venetian.

Accordingto Chiggy the bounty goes to the person that wins the high.
