In Response to the absent channing : yep when was the last time u played cash on this site Posted by amnotere26
Mr Channing is not a "poker pro" for this site-he is an ambassador. So, for example, when he plays cash on here, he gives advance notice and gives out some freebies. When he does play cash, tends to be low stakes-for fun. Which is what this site primarily is.
Neil is always polite, and usually willing to help in any way he can-had sage advice both from the last SPT and Vegas.
I think he does a sound job for Sky-not advocating "Canning Channing"

well there u go this site is just a fun site in other words a bit of a joke so u can have a laugh.. what more do u need to hear
Very kind of you to leap to my defence though. I'm a little confused to be honest.
This bloke amnotere26 seems to be of the opinion that this online poker is all rigged or for sure he would be one of the greatest players of all time yet he still finds a bit of time, every now and then, to pop back and have a bit of a dig.
Seven posts and three say that Sky Poker is rigged...
Lots of people like playing football. Many play once a week, maybe Wednesday, a bit of five a side and they might be Sunday heroes, pitch like glue and some pints with the lads after. Very few of those people ever get to play on a pitch with floodlights and even less get a shot in the football league. A miniscule amount get to play in the Premier League.
The ones that do definitely have some kind of innate talent but also they have made many sacrifices. They have thought long and hard about their diet throughout their life, they exercise daily, they train a few times a week and they moderate their drinking. They may have missed family and social events to give their time to football and their personal life may have suffered. This is what people who climb to the absolute top 1% of their endeavour tend to do.
Many people still enjoy playing football even though they realise they will never climb to the top. It's very normal for those people to accept that possibly they just aren't as good as Harry Kane or maybe he just wanted it a bit more, he missed out on some things that they would never have missed out on, he trained harder, he was so busy with football he missed some schooling or his early relationships suffered. They just weren't prepared to make the choices he made.
Very few of those people go on to talk about their relative footballing abilities being down to the standards of the pitches or poor refereeing decisions.
In poker we are very lucky. If we have the buy-in we can literally sit down and play anyone. A total amateur can play one of the best in the world. If you've always wanted to play against Daniel Negreanu it isn't that hard. He plays loads of events in a year so just play all the ones he does and one day you'll get on his table. Even easier than that get a few hundred grand together and pop over and sit on Phil Ivey and Doyle Brunson's table. It's much easier to do that than it is to get a game at Wembley in the cup final.
If those guys do hand you your @rse on a plate will you say that it's because the deck was rigged or would you think that maybe you ought to have spent a bit more time trying to learn and improve, watching some training videos, reading some articles, studying push/fold charts and assessing hands with a study-buddy?
I guess you could just come back here and tell us it was all rigged and moan that you didn't get to be the Ambassador like you deserved.
