No reads on villain. Villain jams river relatively quickly, no more than a few seconds.

I can think of 1 or 68 reasons why I should have called  vs this opponent, but didn't know that at the time :-)

So, question is whether you can put him on a single specific card - surely that's hardly ever going to be true and you have to call?

Much more likely a lower flush there, even if this time it was the 'miracle' card he had.

Surely if they jam quickly its less likely they have rivered it?

At the time I interpreted the quickish shove as more likely to be value. Villain always gets to the river with some kind of showdown on this board, so thought he might take longer if he was contemplating whether to turn something like top pair no diamond into a bluff or not. I do think some people can get a bit excited when they hit such a strong hand and stick the lot in. Was really torn about the river decision which is why I posted.
Didn't even consider he might jam worse for value. Given he jammed over 2x pot feel like having just the king of diamonds here would be a bit ambitious, but that doesn't mean he sees it the same way.

I'm not really qualified to comment and certainly not good enough to fold here but is the diamond not a great card for him to bluff shove on? And surely we're good here more times than not (especially readless) making it profitable long term?

Would love to know if he did have it.

Yeah true, i was thinking how he plays against me. We have alot of history playing cash together. Usually he'd let me hang myself here and check with nuts. Probably plays it differently depending on what he thinks about you. You are probably right more than i am, as you are alot better and experienced. Could easily have  nut card in his range here. Dont think i could fold this though. 'If hes got it es got'

I dont mind the fold. I like the call more if he raised the turn as at least you can add more bluffs in his range.

I dont buy the K high flush either. Unlikely he turned the K high flush and didnt raise. And if he calls turn with the naked K, hes more likely to just check call river as you can very likely have the A.

But I cant remember player. Would prob go with in-game read. More thn likely call out a strt flush, and make him show me it.
