Table problem - Help Needed!!!

I was just goofing around and clicked the old tables button....yeah. I was hoping they would somehow be better than the new ones which are giving me lag.

Anyway it says I am stuck with them now for 7 days. But apparently I can remove them by clearing cookies. Well I tried that but it hasn't done anything. I am playing on the downloadable client.

What am I missing?

Thanks!

If only it were that simple. I'm not talking about the mini view. I mean I clicked the 'problems with tables' thingy in the chat area which switched me to the OLD old tables.

It says it will keep this view for 7 days and there doesn't seem any easy way to switch back. Must be a way though. If it's counting 7 days there must be a way to nuke it in a config file or the registry or something.

Can a Sky boffin help with this. It shouldn't be this hard to change a table theme.

How do I clear the 7 day thing before it switches back to the new layout. On the download client.

    Thanks.

Had a good go at this for you but couldn't figure it.

I don't generally use the DC so didn't mind 'breaking' mine to try it, and I went through a lot of the files/registry/bla bla bla and couldn't fudge it back again, even by examining/removing/etc the obvious files & registry entries.

Maybe the 7 day thing is stored against our account server-side. Or somewhere locally that I missed.

One for the Sky techies or probably just wait the 7 days to see what happens. Sorry!

Yeah thanks for trying. How dumb to put a time limit on a table theme change lol.

I find the browser is awful and the DC lags after a while requiring a restart. I really need the tables back though because those old ones are no good. Plus I want to start grinding for Priority on the 1st.

Hopefully a Sky tech person can help. It's a shame the software is so bad because it's a cool little site.

There are a couple of ways to fix this and I think the easiest is to do this.  Depending on your version of Windows the method may be slightly different but hopefully you can follow on your system.

    Start the download client
    Load a table
    Close the table
    Log off the download client
    Close the download client

Then from the start menu search box type:
    shell:cookies

This will open the cookies folder.

Delete any cookies where the date modified is in the last 10 minutes (assuming you opened and closed the download client in the last 10 minutes).

    Start the download client
    Problem fixed?

    Wow good shout!

The ones from the last ten minutes didn't work so I nuked them all. New layout is back!

    Well done :)

    Nice one!

I noticed the DC was modifying files in that folder but removing the recent ones did not help (as you found). In my folder all the other files were considerably older but removing them also reversed it for me.

Nice one Machka & thanks :)
