I posted in another topic about the same thing. I have to reboot to play Seems it's very common but no replies from sky Posted by Goody_Ace
That's a little harsh, Goody.
GEO68 was - correctly & helpfully - advised by mumsie to contact Sky Poker Customer Care, & as soon as he did, the problem was sorted. It took 31 minutes from start to finish to resolve. So Sky DID respond, & very quickly, too.
If you experience a similar problem, I would strongly suggest you contact Customer Care in the first instance. That is what they are there for.
Anyway, I hope the problem does not arise again. If it does, contact CC & then post here & I'll pass it upstairs.
Let me try to explain a little more as to what I do when I see complaints like this on the Forum during the evening.
I DO monitor this Forum all evening, so I do see any complaints, & I did see your observations, & those of GEO68, last night.
Before I pass these things up, or send an urgent, out of hours e-Mail or text to the Poker Team, I generally wait to see if the problem is isolated, or whether it is affecting a lot of players.
There were, at a guess, around 3,000 players "seated" at the time, so my logic in these cases is to wait a little while, & if several others come on & complain, then I immediately escalate it to the Senior Suits. If 3,000 are happily seated & playing, & only 2 complain, I take the view that the problem is a) not widespread & b) very likely (logically) at the players end, so I don't trouble the suits at the time, though I do generally send them the thread, fio, the next morning.
If I send e-Mails up at 8 or 9pm every time I see a single complaint, the "cry wolf" syndrome would soon kick in & the Suits would ignore me.
At present, if I contact them mid evening, even on a Saturday or Sunday evening, they will ALWAYS respond to me & investigate within minutes, & then I keep everyone on the Forum informed. So I don't really want to wear that Welcome Mat out without good reason.
So these Posts are NEVER ignored, but no, Sky don't & won't respond to every one for the reasons I have outlined. I don't think we can reasonably expect them to.
Sky Poker give better Customer Care than any other site in my opinion - faster & more fair - & I'm pretty sure they will continue so to do.
