some games have a session charge.  everyone at the table will pay around £10/hour. for a nl600 game.

smaller games have rake just like here.  i think the standard is 5pc with a 10£ cap.

I live in Barnsley so am between you dee dars and pikeys.

There is no organised cash games near us. At naps in Sheffield before a tourny and after one of players acts as dealer (they dont play) any half decent pot winner gives them a couple of quid they make a load. Standard of play is terrible. Vast majority of them seem to buy in with £30 quid and there whole stack is going in middle every other hand. Gets good later as stacks get deep. They rebuy a ton too. The have weird blinds the button puts a pound in and the small blind does ????

Nearest organised is Leeds, these are dealer dealt, rake is 5% £5 max, Some players have a couple of poker brain cells to rub together put still not that good, most are poor. Again 50p £1 mainly.

Why not try dusk till dawn Nottingham, never been myself but heard good things.

Both Leeds and Sheffield are 10 handed and you can easily make some cash. However, I find live Poker so boring, as its 10 handed and you only get 30 hands a hour if your lucky.

well i enjoy live poker so much more, when ive played in the sky tours ive gone out in between 23-25th place so when im out the cash games have been full with a long waiting list so i never bothered, i might get myself down to naps for a tourny and bit of cash, if its easy money then all the better lol
