Poker points adjustment?

With yesterday being the last day of the month I was right on the cusp of making priority status (10k points). With this in mind I put a grind in until my account page showed me as having secured 10,004 points for the month - this was achieved by around 10pm. Thinking job done, I took a little break and returned to play a bit more after midnight.

Today I log in to my account and it now shows me as having made 9968 points for August - thus missing out on priority and a chunk of rakeback. I have no idea why this would be the case and if my points balance had been correctly showing yesterday I would have easily made priority in time by playing on for just a little longer before taking a break.

This is hugely frustrating and I really don't understand why my points total for August is showing as a lower amount today than it was at 10pm last night? I doubt Sky will be able to do anything for me with regards to this but thought I'd make this post for other players to be wary of if they find themselves in a similar position.

:-(

Sorry about that. I can see you made 10,004 pts so I'll make sure you get your rakeback payment and included in priority for September. Not entirely sure what's gone wrong but I'd guess it's due to your sessions overlapping July 31st/August 1st last month.

    Thanks ever so much James!

I'm not normally one for gushing but, having played on most of the poker sites going over the years, the customer service at Sky is nothing short of exemplary.

Thanks again from a very happy and impressed grinder :-)

If you make priority for the first time will your extra rakeback be given that month. Or do you need to earn 10,000 points the following month to get the extra rakeback?

    Hi Kob,

    In short, "yes".

If you made 10,000 points in August, you would have received your usual weekly payments at the usual rate, then, after the month end, a "top up" payment.

thankyou! I'll just work out how much money you get for reaching 10k points and then work 10% of that and that will be the extra.

    Thankyou Tikay

    YW, Kobayashi.

Hopefully, one of the regular Prio guys will be along later & explain it better than I can. Most of them are pretty lazy, & don't get out of bed until mid afternoon, so be patient please.

PS - if you do decide to go for Prio, there is a Priority Board on the Forum to assist with any further questions you may have, HERE

If you hit bang on 10k points it'll equate to around £150 at the end of the month in rakeback (not including any of the regular weekly rewards).

It'll vary slightly if some of your volume comes from short handed play on the cash tables though - you get double the amount of points fot that but still pay the same ammount of rake and the monthly payment is based on total rake paid rather than total points earned (if that makes any sense?!).

Good luck if you decide to go for it :-)

Where is the best place to look how many points you have? ,because looking in my account now it says I have 5059 points, but then I looked at priority page and it says I have 4999 points.

Mine are both the same, if you are likely to be close to a threshold it might be worth sending James a message and getting him to check.

Thought there might of been some lag, but just logged in now, and there is still a 60 point difference between the 2 areas. Yeh I'll do that Matt if it ends up being close.
