Suggestion: SPT league

I thought it might be a good idea if Sky done the same as several other poker sites do with their live events and run a league.

It would definitely encourage people to play legs of the tour which they might not otherwise attend.

     I agree regarding your opening post, no ideas regarding structure etc, but perhaps some form of year end single table SNG like the Audi promo......

    maybe they could make it a DYM with 3 cars

    If there were some side events at each stop then it migt be more viable... Anyone know if there is any plans to put some in going forward? A turbo each evening and a 1 day event on the same day as day 2 would probably work nicely to begin with...

    Hard to answer this as the events are being "drip fed" so to speak at the moment.

    I am of the opinion though, that there will be several more SPT's next year.

    Love this suggestion, those of us who travel a long way to play wherever the venue, have to book flights and hotels assuming we might be in the tournament for the duration. (Even though the chance of that happening is slim to non existent).

    Obviously there will never be enough events for the league to be a true barometer of the fields. I was thinking that there would be two events this year and possibly six next year, throw in a side event or two at each and I think you would definitely have enough to work with.

    I understand that the more games involved the better but I feel that SPTs are aimed at demographic that would enjoy the extra competition a league would offer without over analysing the shortcomings of a small sample size.
