double time to make a decision

Have noticed a few times now that some players seem to be able to get the time clock to go around again. How are they doing this?

Hi Steve the part Eskimo now known as Bert,

No, EVERY player gets exactly the same amount of time to act.

You MAY be seeing (or experiencing) "lag", but that does not mean any player gets more or less time to make a decision - they don't.

    I've seen this before.

I believe it happens if someone disconnects while it is their turn to act. It's longer than a regular timer as well - I'd guess 30-45 seconds from memory.

The person doesn't benefit in any way - When they presumably log back in or reopen the table, the timer reverts back to it's previous state, giving them the remaining time to act that they had prior to disconnecting to make a decision.

Yep this is it, happened to me the other day. Doesn't happen to often though and I don't think it happens every time you disconnect as well.

Yes, The Evil One & Mr Omm are also both correct.

Please be assured Steve aka Bert,

Everyone gets the same amount of time to act. Disconnect or lag does not increase it.

    Have a great weekend.

It's funny because you see some people let their time go down half way when in a sattilite and then sit it and sit back in constantly as they think it allows them more time which it really doesn't. Funny to watch though

    Potential here.

You could, get dealt a hand that you need more time to think, difficult river decision say, you unplug your internet, jump out of your window, whilst still thinking about the hand, log on on your mobile , +ev.

    More time equals more monies.
