From Primo to PTP...

By now, you've probably seen the awful photo on the home page.  A sure sign that OmaHartigan is back!

Tonight, I'll be playing some six-max PLO - starting at 5p/10p and then moving up to the 10p/20p tables.  As usual, I'll use this thread to let you know where I am.

In between the Omaha, I'll be playing the 8pm Bounty Hunter.  Like Tikay, I've decided to set a challenge based around my performance in said tournament.  For five 'PTP Points' (with absolutely no cash value)* how long will I last?  For a further five useless points, how many hands will I play?

Here's a clue: I've only played this event once before (on Monday 15th February).  I lasted a whole EIGHT minutes and played ONE hand!

Please post your best guesses below...

* i.e. it's just for fun :-)

    Tournament break...

    I have 10,797.  I'm 14th out of 228 players.

    I've played 11 hands.  Won 9.  Lost 2.

    Plus, I've taken 3 bounties!

    I never should have doubted DOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :-)

    Final result...

    I finished 73rd out of 629 players.  I didn't quite make the money, but I did win £20.87 in bounties, after eliminating 4 players (amazing prediction, John).

    I lasted 1 hour, 52 minutes.  Almost spot on, Labrat!  Well done, five useless points are yours.

    And I played 23 hands.  Again, almost spot on, Labrat!  Another five useless points :-)

    Short break - and then I'll let you know which PLO table I'm heading for.

    Well, thank heavens for my result in the BH this evening, 'cause that was one bad PLO session!

    I broke dead even at the 5p/10p tables, but then lost a fair chunk of change playing 10p/20p.

    I got stacked a couple of times (got unlucky against darich and made a badly-timed bluff against BowieBoy).  And when I hit monsters and got paid off it was against players who'd bought in for £4.  Grrrrrr... :-)

    Among the members of the Sky Poker community I had the pleasure of playing alongside this evening: themackem (he's still alive!), Cowgomoo, toddyswan, mag70, tallboy, mabsue, 211289, oldfrank, smackdown1, KillieBri and MereNovice.

    At one of my tables, I had an entertaining conversation with a talented young poet called bryan1960 and his writing partner heapey0015.  All they're looking for is a friend.  They have a funny way of expressing it, but please show them some love.  It's an essential emotion that's missing in both their lives right now.

    Good night.  I'll see you at the tables next Monday when I'm back from Berlin.

    Oh, and if you're going to the SPT event in Luton - play well and best of luck!
