Totally Gutted

edited March 2010 in Poker Chat
Was playing tonight in TK's sleepstack, someone got knocked out early doors i put a comment in the chat box "f  k me thought i was playin bad :) " he made a shocking call to be honest, and got knocked out !!

Next thing i know somebody in the chat box who i have never spoken to or met starts calling my dad all names under the sun. (never normally bothers me but the insults were shocking, my dad died when i was in my teens) I rose to the bait and started swearing telling him he was bang out of order, but still he continued.

I chatted with customer service and have been warned for swearing, totally gutted !!

How can this be fair ?

You should find out what happened to the other player - if nothing was done, name and shame the *******

I mean what is the fluppin point of saying floppin "ouch", or whooppsss, or anything at all except ul or gg m8, I think people should think about what comment they would like to see if it was them getting knocked out--bad play or not bad play, personally I have decided to think for 3.78 seconds before I make any comment to an outgoing player, unless of course it's "lol, you donkey, now go back to the bingo page"!!!!!

Please don't be so hurt and upset about it mate. He was saying all those things about your dad assuming he was alive. Thats what he was trying to hurt you with.

He may have been awful to you but it was to make you mad not sad.

My pops died when i was 20 and i miss him a lot even 21 years down the line.

Do what your dad would probably tell you to do....' don't let the bar stuards get you down.

Chin up mate. Get a whisky, raise it to your dad then smile and get on with it. Good lad.

    Peace.

    Airwalker.

Airwalker thanks for the kind words it means alot, cheers my friend i know your right.

No probs. Don't let hate consume you. Leave nasty people alone to get on with their empty little lives.

Trust me, people like this will always get their just desserts guaranteed.

lollllll - glad to see abit of humour on such a thread...

Its a horrible situation, when someone is deeply hurt by thoughtless, stupid abuse. It is always gonna happen on poker sites, and its an unfortunate situation when its directed at someone who is genuinely offended by it.

Im the same mate - usually the nonsense in chat, doesnt bother me, if anything, I like it, as Its normally a guy tilting and easy money...

The sticks and stones, thing...doesnt apply here, coz the words I can imagine, wud be really really hurtful, and when playing a game such as poker, which is so emotional to start with - I can imagine it sending anyone on tilt! The guy should be punished no more, or less, than other culprits, but reading this thread, has made me look at chatbox abuse in a whole different way - next time I see it, I will report it rather than ignore it.

Its a really sad thread, but well done for talking about it, and also reporting it. Hope you can forget about it after tonight.

    Gl mate, DOHH

    Wow that's impressive .....  for you ;)

Only joking Oynutter.  What you say makes perfect sense.  I'm afraid I'm one of those people who have used the "ouch" when a bad beat occurs.  I take your point that "ul" is probably more sympathetic.  I shall follow your lead Obi Wan

Just trying to cheer him up a small bit dohhh, I know it's not funny, and I know it is just sick!!!---but we all have to learn to see it for what it is, mindless thuggery, don't get me wrong here, but I thought a little humour might just help to lighten his mood a bit before he goes to bed----I know what these flupwits can do if you let them get to you, I knew several millwall fans in the 70's for flops sake!!!!!

Yes it was a genuine lol mate, not a sarcastic one, it made me laugh too !!

The thread has had a good response - hopefully these clowns wont put the guy off sky poker - it will happen everywhere - sky seems to get alot of criticism for its software and C/services etc - but they deal with chatbox/forum plonkers better than any other site I've played on, (all 3 of them)

He wins too much on here to leave anyway!!!

    :)

Abusive or derogatory remarks at the table are a sign of immaturity and the extremes of low self esteem and arrogance.

Best to make a joke of it or just ignore it.
