Bonus Boost

Great promotion
A couple of questions on it
How do we confirm which boost we get. I believe I have the 30% boost?

When does the boost happen?

    Hi Mr Jac,

You should get an e-Mail today confirming your Bonus Boost. However, that only applies if A) You are opted in, & b) If you are opted in to Marketing Comms.

Some folks have opted out of Marketing Comms, so they won't get the e-Mail.

As far as I am aware, the Bonus Boost is applied to all points earned between Noon today & 23.59 on 24th December.

How is this bonus boost working, I got 50% and don’t seem to have increased my points this month. Is It added per hand played (cash)? Or if I earn 5k this month I get 2.5k added on at the end of month ? Thanks

the points you see now are points which have had your boost applied.

The widget should be showing something.

    LATE NEWS

I've just had a Text from a Senior Suit who tells me that......

    1) Points are adjusted in REAL TIME for Bonus Boost, i.e., at the end of a DYM or MTT, and real time in cash.

    2) The Widget WILL show Boosted points.

The appropriate Bonus Boost occurs in "real time".

Ok so I wondered why this wasn't working for me and this thread has been helpful. I self excluded from Skybet and it seems since then I've not been receiving market comms. It also means I can't take part in the advent calendar promo which I read in that promos t and c.

I only self excluded because it takes time away from grinding and I end up watching football every evening, not because I had a problem, but I regret doing so now. God ****!

Obviously I can't reverse the self exclusion but is there a way to get this bonus boost sorted or am I out of luck on that?

    Thanks

I self excluded from casino years ago and been getting promos fine, think it means if you are excluded from poker you cant participate

You should be getting the boost if you can play poker on the site and you opted in etc

Well I noticed I wasn't getting market comms from around the time I self excluded so I'm guessing they were related.

I definitely opted in but like Tikay mentioned, if I'm not getting market comms I can't take part. I got a 50% boost too!

Any idea how to turn market comms off or on? I know for a fact I've never turned them off myself.

Also, according to advent calendar t&c if you're excluded from skybet you can't take part.

'8. Customers who are, or become self-excluded, from Sky Betting and Gaming products during the promotion period will not be eligible to participate in this promotion or receive any points, bonuses or tickets during the period in which they are self-excluded.'

@Kapowblamz Have you checked whether you're getting the boost or not yet? Like playing a 3.15 hyper and seeing whether your points go up by two or three points?
Not receiving an email just means you wouldn't have been notified of your boost, doesn't affect whether or not you receive one. I get the feeling the t&c you quoted is just confusingly worded and as long as you opted in you should be eligible.

I'll play an sng in the morning to see for sure. Thanks for the tip.

I'm hoping you're right about the t&c. I think the wording could mean if I'm excluded from poker I can't take part in poker promos rather than my previous conclusion.

    Morning Kap,

I need to clarify that. It certainly COULD mean "excluded from ALL Sky Betting & Gaming products", or it could mean "excluded from ONE product".

I will pass it up to the office to clarify. They might reply to you directly (i.e., not on the Forum) for DPA reasons.

One thing they won't be able to do is reverse or end a Self-Exclusion. That's not Sky Poker being mean, it's a Responsible Gaming & Gaming Commission edict.

To clarify this. You are correct in that if you have an existing self exclusion you will not receive any marketing comms. If you opted in to the promotion and achieved the required number of points needed for the boost then you will be receiving that real time as you play.

This is obviously difficult to see on cash but if you play an MTT/ S&G it is very easy to see at the end of the game. The points are certainly being boosted though.

Ye sorry for the confusion. It's definitely active. I earnt 5 points for a 3.30 dym just now.

Regarding market comms - is there no way I can get these turned on for poker related matters? I don't want to miss out on anything!

Unfortunately not. Comms cannot be sent to anybody with an active exclusion on any product.

Ok thanks for the clarification. It's understandable I suppose.

    @kapowblamz

Why not phone CC and ask for the self exclude to be lifted ?

I will do eventually but because it's still within the exclusion time frame I requested they can't lift it yet by law.

Self-excludes cannot be reduced or removed, they have to stay in place for their agreed duration.

As I noted earlier, this is not SB&G or Sky Poker being mean, or jobsworths - it's a condition of their Licence.

The Responsible Gaming climate at present is very very important, & I don't see the situation changing any time soon.

If folks feel the need to Self-Exclude, then they absolutely should, no argument. But bear in mind a Self-Exclude cannot be undone under any circumstances.
