I just made a post. It appeared in the lobby. I noticed a mistake so edited it. The post is no longer visible in the forum, and the link I just sent to a friend no longer works...
I did see something along the lines of your post will appear in the forum once it has been approved, but I didn't think that was something that actually happened here?
I will attempt to re-post it, so apologies if it later appears again.

It then kinda fixed itself a few hours later and I ended up looking like an absolute pleb for posting the same thing several times.
Morning chaps.
I can explain this - well at least partly explain it.
There is a part of the Forum which is under the bonnet so to speak, it's called "Dashboard" & can only be accessed by Mods & Admin.
It includes a section called "Moderation - Community Management".
Within that, there are 6 or 7 sections, including "Moderation Queue" & "Spam Queue".
If a post is deemed by the software to be Spam or non-compliant & requiring of Moderation, posts are "parked" in there until I see them & "approve" them.
Against each of these posts I see this;
Marking things as NOT spam will put them back in your forum.
Check the box next to the user to mark them as Verified so their posts don't get marked as spam again.

Are you sure this isn't spam?
No, get me outta here!/Yes, continue
And so once I tick the little box, the post moves across to the Forum. Quite often, the post appears several times, as the Author re-posts it after it has disappeared.
I've just "approved" Melty's post, & it is now visible on the Forum. In fact it appeared twice, as he probably re-wrote it.
Apologies for the inconv.
My current routine is to check that Dashboard 4 or 5 times per day - first thing in the morning, lunchtime, early & late evening. (I don't get any notification that something is in the Spam Queue, I have to go look).
One part of the mystery remains though.
Of all the posts that got stuck in Moderation/Spam, I've yet to see one which was even remotely non-compliant.
I'm guessing - I don't know for sure - that the software has an algorithm which maybe needs a little tweaking.
The wonders of software coding, eh?
Anyway, hope that explains it for everyone.
Just to re-iterate, there was nothing even remotely non-compliant in the post by Melty, nor, as I recall, the earlier problem the Pingu had.
In fact one of yours DID get moved across. I was sooooo tempted to leave it there, let me tell you.
If MadMick from the good old days was still here he would splatter you all over the wall
Oh, you guys, why encourage him ?
He'll cryptically slaughter everyone without their knowledge.
