Could anyone have folded here?

1st time I've posted on here but this was a belter; my exit hand from the 9.30pm £10+£1 bounty hunter. I was sitting 6th with 29 remaining, top 16 paid, then this hand happened. Could anyone have got away from this or was I just extremely unlucky? Relatively new to poker (only been playing for about 3 years) so any advice willingly taken, cheers.

Just a cooler, You got unlucky. Once you have re raised on river it's hard to fold with 8k behind us.

Thanks, kinda thought that, I was thinking it was the perfect spot to double up against any ax or kx hand, the only ones I was losing to being aa(!) or kk obviously; or 44 but I wasn't really concerned about that.

And a4. But yes, I’m sure if you got dealt this again you are going broke, too many times a player will probably have 45 etc here when they have just flatted your raise pre from the big blinds.

Just unlucky.

I think if you fold here, then you are playing way too tight.

Imagine playing YOUR exact hand on THAT exact flop 1,000 times. How often will you run into A-A, 4-4 or A-4? 25 times? 50 times? It wont be often.

You seem to have done very well in the last 2 or 3 months, including winning a Mini UKOPS if I'm not mistaken. Well done.

Shame we don't see more of you on the Forum - if you ever want any poker advice, don't hesitate to post here, & you'll get no end of help & good advice from good players. And me.

Thanks guys, that helps. I maybe should post for advice a bit more because there are some spots I get in where I'm not sure if I'm playing it properly or whether I could have played it differently.

Yeah Tikay, my results have picked up a bit recently, pretty much since I got married in July but that might just be a coincidence! Time playing is limited, got a 2 year old so have to get her to bed first!

Think that was another hand Matt although I can't remember exactly, to be fair if it had been this hand then it could only have been directed at myself the way I butchered the hand. 8 beers down my poker play, and chat etiquette, clearly weren't at their best! All part of the learning curve I suppose.
