Pats Journey

Hi Gang have been thinking about doing a diary for a while so with the new year I might as well give it a go. It will be slightly different from the others on here as I am not a grinder or I don’t have any major goals I would like to hit. More of a diary of an average recreational player with some life stuff thrown in.

Lets get the background out of the way.
Playing on Sky since early 2012 (cannot believe it has been that long). Just plodding along for the first four years winning a bit then losing a bit and playing way above my skill level. Played all formats cash dyms and mtts. Just your average recreational player logging on at night trying to win a few quid. Then in early 2106 I joined a group of really good guys and players who have helped my game immensely and have been there for me through the most desperate time of my life, more of that later. The group Jac ,Hhy ,Tomgood, CPFC ,Hendrick and LMFAO . All great guys. Good advice for new players or people struggling with their game find players better than you and ask for advice and it can really help your game.
Playing wise I usually reg the same games every night starting with the mini then the 9pm £200 gtd the 9.30 £3 rebuy (favourite mtt by far) and the speed game at 10pm. So as you can see not particularly exciting but passes the nights away.

So a bit about myself.
I am from Ireland and have been with my partner for 11 years. She is Finnish, so we go to Finland a few times a year which is great, expensive but really nice country and has a lovely casino right in the middle of the city. Have spent a few nights there and the expression crazy Fins is very true. Liverpool fan so I can expect a few messages from Hh today, I think we have a good chance as we have a great record at home versus them.

As I mentioned earlier on its been a pretty horrific time personally since October 2016.My younger brother who is married with two kids was involved in a serious RTA. It has left us as a family devastated and to deal with life changing consequences. We where very lucky we didn’t lose him that day but we are left to try and deal with what seems like a new problem every week. He is still in hospital and physically he is fine but has suffered a serious brain injury which has led to a lot of problems. Needs 24 hour care at the moment and not sure if that will ever change.

Just thinking about it might set myself some goals.
To have a profitable year at the tables.
Get along to another SPT this year as they are a really great event. Maybe even try and cash in one.
Really want to get back to Vegas. Brag alert ! Played 1 WSOP event and cashed so would love to give it another go.
Oh and stop regging them all in sats : )

Apologies about the layout hopefully it improves with more posts.

Any questions comments fire away
