Love to get some opinions on this hand as I was a little unsure if my play was correct and if the fold was too. Obviously 7 diamonds on the turn is the worst as it hits diamonds and straight draws. Would he check on the turn when he made a hand rather than bet? He could be protecting if he thinks I have AK with A diamonds. At the same time is this a play you would make with that hand?

Thoughts?

I would have just called the flop raise to keep the pot down at this stage of the tournament, and see the turn first, might have been able to see the river without committing so much. Not sure what it says in the book, so take no notice of me. :/

While it is the worst card for our hand, we need to be calling turn as we can improve and our opponent can be betting worse for value like ak/kq type hands (with a diamond) or ak/kq type hands without a diamond for protection. When a draw comes in we need to consider that our opponent has hit that draw but cannot assume every time that they had that draw or we will be folding too much.

As played i am calling turn and then re evaluating the river.

Thanks for the welcome input. It is a tight fold and as you all say evaluate on the river, especially as it's a deep stack tournament. Should I river the full house vs flush I could stack them.
