Sometimes things happen, which we can smile about later..but at the time 😩
Tuesday started off really well, got good results in the morning., decided to have a burger to celebrate and take the day off work and spend time with my dear daughter and lovely grandson.
Awful weather out but indoors was all sun and smiles.
Until....
Dear daughter needs taking to doc to check on gorgeous grandson who has a rash.
First, no appointments, then we get the ok to visit doc after 5pm.
Being a thoughtful soul I messaged good lady to say I would pick up the order from screwfix on the way ( tv strap to wall thingy, Grandson started climbing up the sideboard the other day, which tv resides on)
We set off at 4:10pm for the 20 minute journey to Eastbourne.
Thanks to the weather, potholes, Tuesday drivers, roadworks, and hurricane strength winds we had 15minutes left when I decided we had enough time to pop into screwfix, rush to the counter, pick pre order up , rush out , find parking space , enter docs.
Erm...
It seems I had gone to the wrong town
Dear wife ( who is also thoughtful) had ordered aforementioned strap thingy from our home town, 2 minutes down the road...

Managed to get to the doctors with 2 minutes to spare, doc views grandson, writes prescription for rash cream, we toddle downstairs back into the howling wind and rain.
I’m holding grandson, Daughter Clinging on to his bag, his prescription and her sanity.
Then...the wind blows the prescription out of her hand 😱
She rushes down the road to try to catch it.
It doesn’t want to be caught.
Back into docs...tell receptionist ( who doesn’t seem to understand the queens English)
Eventually..she understands and tells us doc is with someone, go up and wait.
We wait, and wait..and doc comes out and hands me the prescription which I thrust into my pocket for safekeeping.

Drive to nearest Supermarket/Chemist.
Hand over prescription.
The kind lady behind the counter checks the prescription to see if they have the cream in stock.
That’s when I start bragging how clever my grandson is...”Grandson” she says?
Yes
“ How come this is made out to a girl”
Oh
The doc had handed me the wrong prescription.

Funny old game.
