Final 2 tables Mini GR - 4b shove spew?

Before this I had gone from about 1.1m to just under 700k in the last two orbits as I've had a couple of spots to KO short stacks but didn't win either (A2 < QT for 9bb - btn raise committed so I put him all in from the sb, KJ < 77 for 6bb - I called in the bb after utg shoved) so villain has not seen me show up with the best hands but they were pretty standard spots to try and keep chipping up as one of the big stacks.

8 players remaining. 4 handed, vs relative unknown who was actively stealing the blinds of the 2 smaller stacks. I would normally open the sb to 2.5-2.75x but in min raising I kinda got what I was asking for - inducing a 3b where I could 4b shove ~22.5bb even though I don't have a super strong holding. Opinions on whether this is too loose considering we are so close to the FT?

im flatting here if bb is defending alot... if he is folding alot im raising ... if he is raising limps (4 x+) and and raising my raises more than (50%) im just folding pre...

Other stack sizes matter but not really fancying a flip at best with 20+bb behind

People are not generally mucking about this close to the FT, that said I can't fault your thinking here given what you have said about opp. If you have seen him 3betting a few times then I'm with you on the allin.

Calling the raise is reasonable and it would depend on how my opp plays post flop however it can get a bit uncomfortable out of position. Opponent is key here and very read dependant. The flop isn't a bad one for oop play with a low pair.

Not a horrible shove but a gamble

Also shoving pre is much better than a raise. Shoving 3s from this spot should be marginally profitable from these stack depths so hard to go wrong whoever the opponent

I like the idea as you cover him so he has to call tight if you put him at risk with 8 left and its a bounty hunter so even if he calls with 2 overs no pair, you can get a big bounty and have a stack that can apply a lot of ICM pressure on the final table.

I personally prefer the limp shove though as he generally will 3 bet lighter against limps over min raises or I would just open jam for the 18bb effective blind v blind - this is pretty standard when you cover him. As played his call with A9s is really loose with 8 left and you were just unlucky here.
