Morning all.
First up, if you have qualified for SPT Manchester, you should by now have received an e-Mail with some info you need to know.
It's been sent to everyone who has a seat, except;
1) Those who qualified over the weekend.
2) Those who qualified in the 50/50 Freeroll last night.
3) Direct Buy-Ins from the last few days.
In those cases, the e-Mail will be sent today.
Please note, if you are OPTED OUT of Receiving Comms, you will not get the e-Mail.

If it were me, I'd want to arrive at least an hour before kick off. (Play starts at 4pm on Friday & 2pm on Saturday).
Why is this?

However, you are required to register at the Casino before you actually play, & until you register, you do NOT have a seat & your chips will not be in play.
It's very likely that there will be a wait before your seat is available if you do not register at the Casino early. This wait could be several hours.
So the strong advice is ARRIVE EARLY.
As soon as you arrive, register at the Tournament Desk (NOT Reception, which you will first have to visit). Then, once you are registered, you are all set.
There's usually good craic at these things, so by arriving early, you can get to meet other players, have a good natter & maybe a drink or two. Mine's a latte, obv.
For the reprobates & degens, I'm sure there is a betting shop around the corner, or you can bet with Sky Bet via their amazingly good App.
Valentines weekend has certainly driven up the prices of accommodation! fortunately the lovely lady has just secured us a 5 star apartment through her work for £70 quid a night!
That is incorrect I'm afraid.
By register", I don't mean "resister with the Casino", I mean Register for the Tournament".
So whatever happened in the past is irrelevant - everyone has to register for the MTT when they arrive.
e-Mails now sent to everyone who has qualified, won or purchased a seat for SPT Manchester EXCEPT five of the twenty 50-50 Freeroll Winners from last night who have yet to contact Sky Poker on Facebook to confirm which starting day they wish to play.
We were overwhelmed by numbers last time, also we were unfamiliar with the registration process. It was definitely a bad customer experience, & we don't want that again.
So yes, there will be more dealers, & more tables.
However, the local qualifiers have the same rights as our players, so the Tournament Reg process is the same, & it's likely there will be queues & long waits again.
That is why we are strongly recommending players to arrive early.
Don't be surprised to see me wondering about for hours without a seat though, because I risked trying to late reg
You never know when you might need to prove who you are
Last years SPT manchester was almost a total waste because I didn't have a form of ID, luckily enough I still managed to play the tournament itself but cash poker wouldn't have been allowed and I wouldn't have been allowed to cash out a tournament prize
Just to repeat......
Bring ID
Arrive early.
The answer, I'm afraid, is no - registration (by which I mean, registering for the Tournament) is on the day only.
Looking forward to seeing all my friends from Bury, or Rochdale wherever it is.
Is the rest of the tribe, including the Dreaded Degen Daughter coming along, too?
I know what my answer would be, but I'll need to get a ruling on it from Upstairs.
Whatever the official answer, it'll be made known BEFORE the Final takes place on Sunday.
Her response was 'only if hes wearing his finest matalan blazer'
