Re-post from my diary. I would love to get some thoughts and feedback about this hand, whether I played it good, bad, terrible please let me know as it's not often we get to play seriously #bigpotpoker

My biggest hand of the night (and possibly ever at £1/1)

This happened on Sunday night at the local casino (Bournemouth).

The game is very aggressive pre-flop with myself and Villain isolating the loose passive/recreational players and we're 6 handed, with £750 effective stacks (I cover). I believe he plays relatively tight but has a few tricks up his sleeve and we certainly respect each others game.

People involved in the hand:

Me: TAG image (I think?)
Villain 1: Also TAG, very ABC vs the recreational players but does love a levelling war occasionally between regs. £750 stack
Villain 2: Standard, loose passive player + willing to see a river for any price. £450-500 stack

6 handed V1 straddles to £2. V2 open limps from the HJ, I look down at Red QQ in the CO and isolate to £14. Both V1 and V2 call.

Flop (£44) - Jh Tc 6s - Checks round to me and I bet £30. Both call

Turn (£134) 7c - Both check to me again and the board is getting scary for my hand so I bet £125. It's almost a pot sized bet but I think there are some worse hands that can call here + there are some draws that I don't want to give a free card to. I planned to check most rivers unimproved.

River (£510) - 7s - Two checks and I decide to go thin for value, betting 1/3 of the pot, £165. After a brief stare down V1 moves all in for £580 and V2 quickly folds.

    Hey Ging

You know what I would do(having played me lots already...)

I would feel/know/hope/wish my QQ/&& would hold but in reality know in my head that he's holding either top pair(KK/AA), OR given the bet size preflop he might be sitting on connectors, in this case 89? or 78?? Either way he's got a gutshot, open ended or even got his straight by then?? At worst i reckon he's got trips and sorry to say I'd (reluctantly) fold, go the toilet and cry like a baby as unless he showed, I'd think I did the wrong thing, whatever I did!!

Then again , what do I know, I busted out both days at Manchester SPT playing like a donkey!!!

PM me if you don't want the world to know what happened??

Look forward to meeting you again soon.. don't forget about popping over to Christchurch Food Festival fro a free, healthy, vegetarian lunch on me!!

I did almost cry at the table @madprof!, I asked the dealer for an exact count and I had him covered by about £100 so a part of me wanted to cut my loss in this hand as I'd still be up £300 in profit for the night but I cut that out quite quickly and got my thinking hat on!

I was in the tank for over 5 minutes, with Villain covering his mouth with his hands and giving off no physical tells from what I could see, he was as still as a statue, so props to him for that. In the end I counted out the chips and re-checked my hole cards and cursed at myself for going so thin for value when there was already £500 in the pot!

I think you can bet smaller on this flop (more like half pot).

As played I think the turn bet is fine.

River I would check back once called in two spots to my large sizing ott although I do think this decision is relatively close. Kind of depends on villain 2 and how likely you think he is to lead his strong hands and also how loosely he will call river.

If I do decide to bet I am def bet folding. The fact that there is another player left to act makes it a lot harder for villain one to be bluffing.
