hi everyone i have nothing against the jackpot syndicate but betting chat is very cluttered with the various jackpot syndicate entries it can be hard to see anything else what about a new jackpot syndicate sub section any thoughts on this if it could be arranged
I will try and limit the number of posts. Not sure it warrants a new sub section tbh. Before the Jackpot Syndicate came along there was only 1 or 2 posts a day in "betting chat" it seemed.
So whilst it does sometimes "clutter" the "betting chat" section, it does also give it some much needed "traffic".
Before, Wynne and Vaigret used to post their tips/selections but outside of that not a lot went on.
I do take your point however, so I will try and limit the number of threads flying around. (I have already stopped my NAPS thread)
There will of course be posts/threads etc on GO-LIVE days, but I will try and limit posts outside of that.
I don't want to do anything which in any way discourages the Horse Racing lads, they contribute a great deal to the Forum & don't cause any trouble to anyone.
I'm aware that they do post a lot on stuff such as syndicates & it tends to "drown" the Board as a whole, but it's "their" board, & its only thanks to them that the Betting Board is so lively.
Tell me - what are your particular interests in the sphere of sport - is it Horse Racing, Football, or something else?
I'm happy to look at starting new Boards where demand exists, rather than "throttling back" a bunch of folks who are just enjoying themselves & doing no real harm.

Hi Graham,
I think you should post as much - or little - as you wish. As you say, you (& the rest of the HR lads) keep this Board busy, & that's exactly how it should be.
If need be, I'm happy to start a new Board for any sporting pursuit if the demand is there.
surely the way to go is have this as Horse Racing thread. Football and its bets can go on existing Football thread and if need be Other Sports/Golf go on a Other Sports thread.
TK, I'd be more than happy for you to create a new board called "JACKPOT SYNDICATE", or wording of your choice, and we can use that from April onwards for anything to do with the Jackpot Syndicate.

Would it be a good idea to look at what threads need to be at top of board, could have long editing period and could remain there. I can think of Rules for Naps and Removers Graham. There might be others that you need as well .
Note, however, that if the Thread is used frequently, it automatically stays near the top.
You guys get your heads together, & if I can do it (i.e., if the software permits) I'll sort it.
We need to agree it before next weekend though, think we agreed it goes live April 1st.
Hi tikay, All up to G I was just making a suggestion. The Rules thread is not used hardly at all as it is the rules for the year. However I have to refer to it when I need to remind myself of the rules when doing the checking tables and a bit of a bind to hunt through a number of pages before finding it. Easy either way , as i said just a suggestion.
Yes as V suggests the rules thread would be a good one to "freeze" at the top.
I do want to change some things on the OP of the rules thread, so the easiest thing is that I create another rules thread in April and copy/paste it and amend accordingly.
A few little practical tweaks are required.
Once I have created the "new" rules thread, if you could then keep it at the top, that'd be great.
Ahh yes, I see where Vaigret was going now, & it makes perfect sense.
I'm quite happy to "sticky" the Rules thread. Let me know when the new one is up & I'll do the necessary. I'll also lock the old one to avoid confusion.
Whilst the Jackpot Syndicate may be drawing to a close, we will still be doing some aspects of it for a while, so if possible, I would still like the separate thread we discussed.
I would like to be able to post there from Sunday/Monday onwards if that is OK?

That's mutual, Mr Stingy Thing, I certainly respect your opinion, too.
I'm just keen to solve the "problem" in a way that does not inhibit the Syndicate Boys from continuing to post in the current manner.
We'll sort it out, I'm quite sure.
Be nice if you would post more, too. We need quality posters, the more the better.
I think that is probably the best answer, so let's try that. We can always change it if it does not work out.
What date would it need to start - a few days before the end of March maybe, or April 1st?
I'll (try to) create the Board shortly, but lock it until whatever date we agree it needs to start.
Many thanks.
OK Graham, 1st April it is then.
I've set it up already, & locked it. I'll open it on April 1st, but I might need reminding. Not because I'll forget, only old peeps do that, obv.
Happy to (try to) do whatever you guys need.
