GUT

'Go with your gut' something often heard and said but what exactly is it. Intuition is by its very nature unquantifiable so what role does it actually play in poker? None? a perfectly reasonable argument, mathematically speaking is it of no consequence but the more I play I seem to be making better {sometimes even good] decisions and I'm a maths dunce. I've come to the conclusion that gut feeling is on a sliding scale - when you fisrt start playing it's at maximum and just by merely playing the game more and more AND MORE . Maybe semi - subconsciously, through experience ...'I've been here before' your gut feelings are less reliant on mere chance.

Think it's used more in live cash. The trend both online and live is going more maths however ...does GUT stand for Game Unoptimal Theory I wonder 😉. At the end of the day all players pay their money so can play exactly how they wish which is part of the attraction - whatever gets you thru the night, it's alright as a hero of mine once sang.
