Paying 10 places, seems a lot of value out there my picks are....
J THOMAS .. 10/1 .. WIN T HATTON .. 50/1 .. E/W B DECHAMBEAU .. 60/1 .. E/W C HOFFMAN .. 70/1 .. E/W. A NOREN .. 35/1 .. E/W. Thought about betting Woods , but 11/1 looks to short for an E/W bet.
I'm going for my 'USUAL SUSPECTS' as it's AUGUSTA......(but with 2 additions)
JUSTIN ROSE................ 12/1 JOHN RAHM................. 18/1 LOUIS OOSTHUIZEN...... 50/1 CHARL SCHWARTZEL.... 80/1 ZACH JOHNSON...........100/1 MATT FITZPATRICK......100/1 (who I'm sure will win a Major in the next 3 or 4 years)
10 places with Sky is of course a better deal than normal, but such is the quality and form of so many of the top players, the 10 place value is i feel, some what negated by skinny prices on much of the field.
Looking at the top 8 in sky’s market it’s difficult to see any of those players not finishing top 10, so that would leave just 2 places to fill if looking for bigger value elsewhere.
I thought about lumping on a couple of the market leaders but found it impossible to identify a favourite two or a strong dislike for 6.
So I’ve been looking and waiting for inspiration, but not found myself getting overly committed to anyone, for now all with Sky and 10 places, I’ve settled with:

Agree with this TheDart.
The two companies that go 10 places, and are quoted on Oddschecker, don't have anyone under 300/1 at the best industry price.
The above, and that they also only go 1/5th the odds a place, is what puts me off betting each way. Hence why I would rather do 8 players to win at the full price, than 4 players each way at 1/5 the odds.

+1. Sky's prices are the best of the bookies offering 10 places. Given the number of places, Sky have some pretty punter-friendly odds IMO.
Coral are pretty poor prices, and Betfred have a 10 place market in addition to their 6 places 1/5 odds (lols) but their prices are even worse.
For anyone who wants a "Win only" bet, I recommend checking the sites that offer these "Daily boosts" to looking to get on anyone else before tee off tomorrow. Won't name them for obv reasons but you've probs seen them both advertising on TV. The boosted odds aren't listed on Oddschecker, but on 10/1+ shots, the daily boosts these sites offer are pretty substantial % boost to your winnings: 14/1 from 12/1 for instance.
One of the sites with daily boosts is 5 places 1/4 odds too, so for anyone putting a win only bet on they've got industry best odds or close to it across the board already before using daily boosts, as they're not having to compensate for their EW terms. Would certainly recommend to you @edrich if putting anything else on tomorrow, based on what you've written about not bothering with EW at 1/5 odds.
I think generally using sites with daily boosts is going to be a solid value angle for golf punters tbh. Might also be a good angle to get best Antepost prices on large field horse handicaps for big festivals (without using an exchange where you lose NRNB).
If you're after EW bets then I do think Sky is up there as one of the best options with all the extra places, despite the worse odds.
Slight tangent but can see a lot more sites doing these "Daily boosts" then making odds marginally worse to compensate. When you think about it, it's absolute genius psychology and marketing.
I have to say despite Skys bold move to go with 10 places, the net result for me was they didn't get as much of my hard earned cash as they would normally do, as I 'compensated' with bets elsewhere on the same players at considerably higher odds.
Of course if any of my players finish 7th to 10th, I won't be complaining about Sky ;-)
Looking forward to a great tourney but no so much watching the coverage of Tiger even if he his way out of contention as they will concentrate so much on him. Even so
Justin Thomas 12-1 win Louis Oosthuizen 66-1 e/w Patrick Reed 50-1 e/w
1st round leaders Adam Hadwin 100-1 e/w Aphibaranat 100-1 e/w
Nice little win on Adam Hadwin at 100-1 e/w. Aint got a clue how to work out the winnings though as tied 4th. I had £ 2.50 e/w paying top 5. Came tied 4th with 5 others so if anyone can let me know that wud be good. Normally use sky Bet but local bookies was better odds for a change but i guess that is coz only paying top 5

Unfortunately ALFIE, he tied with 6 others, so the carving knife will definitely be out for this one.
In this case you simply divide your place stake by the number of ties, then multiply by the number of places that they cover. So 2.50 divided by 7 then multiplied by 2 gives you just over 71p at the place odds.
If the place odds were 1\5th you get roughly 71p x 21 so your returns should be £15. If the place odds were 1\4 you get roughly 71p x 26 so your returns should be £18.57.
Thanks Edrich. I would never have worked that out. He missed a 6 footer on 18 as well, Still got Patrick Reed and Oosthuizen nicely placed after 1st round

For added entertainment I might go with a few request a bet specials, (starting to sound like a promo for skybet now).
Should be a great sporting event.
Good luck with your bets everyone,
