Good morning to my loyal army of reader.
Will it ever stop raining? Another filthy wet day yesterday. On which note, have you noticed that young people don't even notice the weather, whilst the elderly never stop banging on about it? Yeah, me too. Yikes, I really cba with old people.
Meanwhile, down in New Zealand, where the sun shone brightly, England's dismal run continued, I can't recall when they last won an away Test, & they could only manage a draw to end what has been a dismal winter tour. By way of a reality check, little New Zealand, with a population one twelfth of England, are ranked higher than England in the World Rankings.
Closer to home, at a rain-sodden Bramall Lane, I could not resist a small wager on Cardiff City who were on a remarkable win streak but were available at a juicy 2/1. Got to be value, right? Right. They never won though, in fact were lucky to salvage a draw in the end. Value Pie might be the reason I'm losing so much weight.
OK, that's the preamble suitably ambled, now on with the news of the final day of Easter UKOPS 2018.
7 events last night, all various versions of Bounty Hunters, so Guarantees were rarely in danger of being missed, & so it proved, 6 of the 7 covering comfortably, the unlucky 7th missing by just 2 runners. Of the 37 UKOPS events in this renewal, 30 covered, & of those 7 that missed, 5 were on the mysteriously disappointing Saturday schedule. I suppose, grudgingly, we might have to concede that Sky__James did a good job. Here's the man (boy?) himself, looking, as youngsters so often do, suitably uncool in a cool way. (Excuse the shoes, he's from Bradford).

UKOPS 31, 7pm Monday, £55 entry £3,000 Guaranteed Bounty Hunter
An unusual way to start proceedings, it's usually a tenner or a score, so at £55 it was a bit of a gamble. No sweat, it covered by some 10%.Bounty money only for the likes of @SoLack, @Itsover4u, @MattBates, @jordz16 and the pleasantly rotund roffler @Essexphil.
Playing in his first Easter UKOPS event, & only his third MTT on Sky Poker in 2018, @SplitSpade was 6th. Play more, Mr Spade.
Next came @Cantfold89 who has just 2 dozen MTT's to his name here & this was his best result so far, & in 4th was another intermittent visitor to the shores of Sky Poker in @ScottyKaye. Maybe there should be more of these early evening £50 jobbies if they attract so many irregulars.
Hotshots @Froozle and @ozzieowen were 3rd & 2nd respectively.
Winner was @Haydenx37, who has had a really good UKOPS, & for whom my Player Notes read "don't mess".
UKOPS 32, 7.30pm Monday, £22 entry £3,000 Guaranteed Bounty Hunter
This was a carbon copy of the opener, but priced at a more affordable £22 and it sailed way over Guarantee.
First to exit was @NooGooood. There must be a dreadful pun there somewhere.
In 24th was @waller02 who is a member of the near-exclusive "Lost a stone" department of Sky Poker Fat Club, alongside which he has quit the smokes. Impressive stuff.
@ScottyKaye gave Sky Poker another chance & cashed for the 2nd event in a row.
@jawzindawz who seems to have had a quiet time of late mini-monied, 15th & 16th were the similarly aliased @Tsaaaar and @TTayseer, with Twitch Man @adsthepro7 14th and @EvilPingu unlucky 13th.
@micko took 6th, just behind @gazlegend and @f3nix35, with @AKAscotty 3rd.
@NoCarbDiet - tell me about it - secured his best ever result on Sky Poker in 2nd for over £300.
Winner was one of the few players who can boast a 6 figure profit from Sky Poker MTT's, along with a veritable galaxy of shiny spinning Sharkscope stars, was @jordz16, and like so many of these really good players, he's a decent bloke too. It seems unfair sometimes that these guys can be so good. Am I jealous? Not a bit. *
*Well, a little bit.
UKOPS 33, 8pm Monday, £33 entry £10,000 Guaranteed Bounty Hunter
@Sky__James played safe here with the Main Event, making it a £33 Bounty Hunter. In football, that's called parking the bus.Super profitable Heads-Up specialist @M0n3yMan who rarely bothers with MTT's was 18th, Forum newbie @ANNEJO - post more please, we need new forum blood - was 13th with @Max_Bear 10th.
In 6th was @Jamie92 who only returned to Sky Poker MTT's 2 days previously after a 9 month sabbatical, with @mookiestar 5th, @G_W87, playing his first MTT here for 6 weeks & only his 7th of 2018, 4th. Good to see these players returning to the fold.
Continuing with that theme, third-placed @Lala2350 was playing only his 2nd ever MTT here, having played his first the day before, and runner-up @auldbast only returned to Sky Poker MTT's after an 18 month absence 2 days ago.
Delighted to see @BooBooTheB take the win, if only due to such a lovely alias, well done Boo. Had a decent UKOPS, too, with a bunch of little cashes.
UKOPS 34, 8.30pm Monday, £5.50 entry £2,500 Guaranteed Mini Bounty Hunter
Mr Spade, aka @SplitSpade, who got mention earlier, ran 24th, a spot behind @MrWh1te, whilst @Duesenberg, named after a guitar - only a fool would not know that - continued his MTT resurgence in 19th, & hopefully his bout of cba-itis is behind him now.In 12th was @oldgolf who, rather oddly, was one of 3 players often seen in PLO8 DYM's who ran deep in this.
The other two were @chiggypig (6th) and a great virtual mate of mine, the ever popular @Whizzewky in 3rd.
5th was @Sezz99, 4th @stingerbil, with @bri106 the runner-up.
Until the last few days, the winner had only played MTT's here intermittently in 2018, but we may see more of him (or her) after besting a 600+ runner field, so congrats to @Zublu.
UKOPS 35, 9pm Monday, £22 entry £5,000 Guaranteed Rebuy Bounty Hunter
There were modest returns for @Gambelo, @SoLack and @unbpower, who seems to have been with Sky Poker a lifetime. In fact it's a mere 10 years.14th was forum regular @KOBAYASHI, the BEAST @railtard was 12th, and @Limp2lose 10th. Family bragging rights went to @Limp2Lose as Dad, @StayOrGo was plum last.
@gac123 was 6th, a place behind @scotty77 who has had a relatively subdued UKOPS by his high standards.
You can't keep a good man down goes the tired cliché, but it certainly applies to @jordz16 in 4th.
Continuing an excellent UKOPS - including the trifecta (1st, 2nd & 3rd) - was @Haydenx37.
Runner-up, a stranger to me but a very profitable one was @starfox.
Earlier, I mentioned heads up specialist @M0n3yMan when he cashed in the Main, he's clearly warming to the theme though, & won this in style, collecting the fat end of £1,400 in doing so. That's not his best UKOPS result though, that came in the November 2016 UKOPS when he pocketed a whopping £11,000+ when winning the £40,000 Guaranteed Main Event. As the kidz say, propa playa him.
@SplitSpade must be wishing he returned sooner, as he cashed again in this, though only mini money.UKOPS 36, 9.30pm Monday, £11 entry £2,000 Guaranteed Turbo Bounty Hunter
@RogueCell ran 17th, @Gambelo 15th, Edinburgh's finest @glencoelad 13th, and @goldnballz a fine 8th.
6th was @FAS, 5th @CCKeenan, then @abbyamy, @dangerdai and Everton fan, one assumes, @Bluenose54 in 2nd.
Excellent result for the winner @MD_575 whose alias sounds like an aircraft but is actually a State Highway in Maryland, USA, though you'd need to be one of those fearfully boring road geeks to know that.
UKOPS 37, 10pm Monday, £55 entry £4,000 Guaranteed Turbo Bounty Hunter
And so to the 37th & last of this UKOPS renewal.@MAXALLY showed up in 18th, @Froozle 16th, the beautifully named @MrDooWop (doo-wop, doo-wop, doo-ooo-ooo - wop) 15th, @Limp2lose 12th, & the fella who can't stop cashing since I first mentioned him, @SplitSpade 11th.
First to exit the Final was @POKEOFFU, then @jc1989 and @okok248.
3rd was "I promise never to play Spin Ups again" @hhamza162.
Was rather hoping Danny, aka @Itsover4u might secure the win, he's such a good guy, but I guess he'll be happy enough with 2nd for the best part of £700.
Our winner, and making his 4th Final Table of this UKOPs, which takes a bit of doing, was NBA star @K_dur4nt.
Special mention to my player of the series @Sharki0 , because a) he deserves it, & b) he sent me a lovely PM thanking me for these Reports. I'm such a soft touch when I receive compliments.
Others who did very well include @ash066pts, @Haydenx37, @jordz16, @K_dur4nt, @mcg899, and @devil_tear.
Don't forget, Mini UKOPS starts tomorrow (Wednesday), and runs for 5 nights.
Highlight of the week on Sky Poker will come on Sunday, when as part of Mini UKOPS, the first RAKE FREE £20,000 Guaranteed Mega Mini Bounty Hunter takes place. Cracking value that, rare to see a £20k Guaranteed affair with zero rake.
If you have managed to read this far, you are either bored or mad, probably both, but thank you anyway.
Same again for the mini series?
Thanks lads, appreciated.
Mini UKOPS? Have not decided yet, but if I thought enough readers would find it of interest, then yes, I'd give it a bash.
Quick reminder though - Mini UKOPS starts tomorrow ( Wednesday).
I didn't cash, btw.
Not sure how much mini ukops il be playing but will still be the first thread I read On A morning so a yes from me!
Thanks.
