Mini UKOPS, Review of Day THREE (Friday)

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 172,210

What a feast of televised sporting fun awaits us today.

6am - Snooker - China Open, & I have an interest in the Hawkins - Robertson semi-final.

12.30 - Football - Everton v Liverpool. Liverpool much the better team, and the more likely winner, but Even money away from home in a local derby? 3/1 Everton has to be the value, especially in a Liverpool let-down spot, & sandwiched between 2 CL ties.

4pm - F1 - Bahrain GP Qualifying.

5.30pm - Football - Man City v Man Utd

6.30pm - Poker - Mini UKOPS

7pm - Golf - Masters, day three.

Does it ever get better than that?

Last night? 4 Mini UKOPS events, as per, at hourly intervals from 6.30pm.

Mixed numbers, 2-2 draw Guarantee wise, not much overlay though, just a flesh wound.

Mini UKOPS 09, 6.30pm Friday, £2.20 entry £500 Guaranteed Bounty Hunter

Off we go then, with 216 hopefuls paying their dues in the opener.

Not a good start for @MynaFrett (172nd), though @MattBates, fishing in shallower waters than normal fared little better in 165th.

    @rainman215 (don't forget the £2.20 @ 2.15) was 47th, 3 places behind @goldnballz.

In 24th was @stokefc, who must be dreading the visit of Spurs this afternoon to the Bet365 stadium. Come on you Spurs, I need Stoke to be relegated.

@MAXALLY Maxallayed into 19th, one place behind Plopper Extraordinaire (never try to out him on a hand) @churchy18 with @MADPATDOTC 12th & @neenio 9th.

Onto the Final, & first departure was @goonerjay who was to have a decent evening overall with 2 further cashes, with @godpops, who is on an uptick at the moment in 5th from @pokerdon07 just failing to podium.

Good result in 3rd for @rabskeba14, he needed that, with the runner-up spot going to @LitlGenral.

The winner was an interesting one, having played just 5 Sky Poker MTT's, this being his very first UKOPS, all of them this month, & so he's off to a flyer, very well done and welcome aboard to @Leap.

Mini UKOPS 10, 7.30pm Friday, £5.50 entry £1,500 Guaranteed Mega Stack

274 entries, a few shy of the necessary, but not bad for a Mega Stack.

The very first to exit was @CashierNo1, probably an ill-chosen alias this time, with Brentford FC fan @rainman215 only 2 spots better, with @mattprawn - an accountant of all things - failing to balance his ledger in 264th.

9 shy of the money, Everton fan @Toffeeandy departed, but if they beat the Reds today he wont mind.

    There were min-cashes for @Summers119 and @HOLLYWHIT.

    A respectable 16th for @SidV79 and a less respectable 14th for @MattBates.

Into the Final, & it was @jac35 in 6th, so he'll have been Mr Grumpy Old Git all evening. For a change.

5th was @eazi74, and Lord Grumps happiness was complete when consonant bloke @hhyftrftdr outlasted him by 2 spots.

    image

In 3rd, with a graph like a heart monitor, was @reddog1356.

2nd place went to @petman05 which, if you are paying attention, you'll recall is 2 spots better than the 4th he managed in Mini UKOPS 4 on the opening night.

Our winner was @arnaldo717 who, like so many, has been here a very long time, 9 years to be exact, & has made a tidy few bob along the way, with another £400 profit to be added after this. Very nice too.

Mini UKOPS 11, 8.30pm Friday, £5.50 entry £5,000 Guaranteed Rebuy Bounty Hunter

On to the evening's Mini UKOPS Main Event then.

Personally, the thought of a Rebuy Bounty Hunter fills me with horror, but each to their own, and despite needing 1,000 entries, rebuys and add-ons it covered comfortably. Tidy number that, so people obviously liked it.

48th for the prolific cashee @Tsaaaar, 45th for @Haydenx37,and 43rd for the oh-so-honest @I8HUButler who fessed up to a wrongly paid £150 in his account this week, but got to keep the dough.

    @albaking was 42nd, and UKOPS 09 runner-up earlier this evening @LitlGenral was 40th.

@Whizzewky ran 36th, and, quite remarkably, @stokefc was 32nd. "Remarkably"? Just a bit. Friday night is ale night for Stokey, & so things tend to get a bit blurry for him as the evening wears on.

16th saw the departure of Sticky Solly, aka @SoLack who failed to hit his draw for once. He called me once with K-J after I raised. Disrespectful. It was SPT Leeds in 2009 as I recall, not that I'm bitter.

Thursday's Main Event winner (how?) The Rotund Roffler @Essexphil was 7th, so bubbled the Final Table. My good mate Kev Allen was sad to see Frinton Bloke's exit.

    image

    6th went to @mushroom1, 5th to @Chazzamuff, with 10 year Sky Poker veteran @stingerbil 4th.

Meanwhile, @Mike7779, here just 6 months, had easily his best ever score & went into profit for the first time, so well done Mike, & the unfortunate bridesmaid was @kevn8309.

Winner, and as you'll know by now, perhaps my favourite Sky Poker alias, was @MRBLEWPIE who tends to play more cash than Tourneys, & is a mean PLO cash game player who seems to quietly get the lot every night. He also ran 6th in the Avenger Rebuy Main Event, so a 4 figure night for the fella. I'm so pleased he won, as it gives me the excuse to post this. Love Jeff Lynne.

Mini UKOPS 12, 9.30pm Friday, £3.30 entry £1,500 Guaranteed Turbo Rebuy Bounty Hunter

The evening closed with a Turbo Rebuy Bounty Hunter of all things. What is the world coming to? It's like T20 cricket in pyjamas & exploding bails compared to proper Test Cricket, with the players dressed properly in whites. Ugh.

Folks like them though, & this was the best performing Mini UKOPs of the night, beating Guarantee by almost 25%.

Mini-monies for @MynaFrett (46th), @edrich (42nd) and the Rotund Roffler (38th), and @goonerjay narrowly missed his 2nd Mini UKOPS Final of the evening in 7th.

6th was @RiverRat37, playing only his 29th Sky Poker MTT in 2 years but securing his best cash.

The consistently profitable @raisingbel was 5th, with the similarly consistent winner @kevg14 in 4th.

Really good effort in 3rd by @aosbor1028, with a best ever result for runner-up @sadclown22.

The winner was @AMc17, playing just his 4th Sky Poker MTT, 3 of which were last night, & he had never even remotely troubled the judges previously, a proper Foinavon affair. Great stuff, well done AMc.

So that's us done for today.

Off now for the televised sportfest, and somehow find time for 3 exercise walks, pfft.

Not sure I'll be able to resist Everton at 3/1, which stinks of value pie. So you can all safely bet Liverpool.

Barry Hawkins currently leads 5-4 in the China Open, come on Barry, do it for me. Like, please?
