Review of Mini UKOPS Day FOUR (Saturday)

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 174,745

Good morning.

Well yesterday's televised sports-fest did not disappoint, but as so often with sport with sport, it did so in such unexpected ways.

Barry Hawkins did the business in the China Open snooker, so the betting day got off to a flyer, Everton & Liverpool managed a scrappy draw, so I gave a bit back there, as I thought Everton might nick that, though Liverpool under-performed exactly as predicted.

In Bahrain, it was an all Ferrari front row as I had hoped, so my Vettel ticket is in good shape, but the real shock was to follow in the Manchester derby. City took an early 2-0 lead at the Etihad - as expected - but Jose had left his bus at home & astonishingly, turned a 2 goal deficit into a 3-2 win. Suddenly, whilst the Man City wheels have not exactly come off, they are certainly wobbling. Consecutive losses in the same week to their biggest rivals must have hurt.

Stoke City lost, whilst the teams around them all picked up a point. Get outa here Stoke.

Over at Augusta, Rory was back to his glorious best, but Patrick Reed produced the round of his life to tee up a cracking day 4.

Gotta love sport.

Meanwhile, it was Mini UKOPS Day 4.

It's very hard to predict numbers in these things, as there is only limited data to work with, but the numbers last night were good & all Guarantees were covered.

    So, enough waffle.

PS - Can we ever have enough waffle?

Mini UKOPS 13, 6.30pm Saturday, £2.20 entry £500 Guaranteed Bounty Hunter

To complete a bad day for Stoke, our old mate @stokefc was 267th of 267, but at least he's showing solidarity with his football team.

Not too many familiar names in these, not familiar to me, anyway, but I did see @MrWh1te had a deep run (17th) our old friend @Tsaaaar (11th), and @HayesGG in 8th. Please note HayessGG should not be confused with the mardy geriatric from South Wales with a similar alias.

@MacMonster was 31st, here's a photo of the man himself. Almost a Caption Comp there.

    6th went to @1-DAY, then @nicnmart, with @diger 4th.

3rd was a player who seems to have had plenty of cashes in this Mini UKOPS, @goonerjay, with the runner-up spot falling to @MattPhill who was earning his best ever result on Sky Poker.

Our winner was one of the class horses of the field, the steadily profitable @summer0754.

Mini UKOPS 14, 7.30pm Saturday, £5.50 entry £1,500 Guaranteed Rebuy

I don't play too many online MTT's these days, preferring to keep my powder dry for the annual Las Vegas jolly, but I always loved a good Online Rebuy. The numbers suggest the Sky Poker massive like them too, and they generally do well.

163rd of 2164 was @buggerme1. Quite so Sir, quite so.

Poor start for @Whizzewky (156th), and not much better for @jawzindawz (148th) or @MynaFrett (132nd).

    Deep runs but no cigars for @timeforbed, @Duesenberg, @Ludovician, @devil_tear, @MattBates, @BooBooTheB and @lyonsbob06.

    Big hitters featured, with @cottlad (17th) the beast @loololollo (14th), @Wacko90 (11th), @UrABawBag2 (8th) and @albaking 7th.

    Talking of big hitters, @Essexphil was 6th, @tuckaif13 5th, with Accountant Bloke @mattprawn 4th.

3rd place went to @chet with @jessieak the unlucky runner-up.

Top spot went to @JammThis who continues to earn a really good ROI here on Sky Poker over a decent sample size.

Mini UKOPS 15, 8.30pm Saturday, £11.00 entry £5,000 Guaranteed Bounty Hunter

Despite the relatively large ticket price at £11, this one sailed over hard-held.

The cleverly-named @HurriKane blew out early, and Fat Club Superstar @waller02 did not fare much better.

There were small payouts for @mkgunner, @MRBLEWPIE, @Claytov, @day4eire76, whilst @Toffeeandy consoled himself with 28th after his team drew 0-0 with Liverpool in a scrappy Merseyside derby.

After wining the previous Mini UKOPS, @JammThis continued his fine evening in 12th, & I was pleased to see good old @stokefc run 10th.

6th went to @bush71, just behind @WILS12, with Essex Boy @MattBates showed up in 4th.

3rd place fell to @KRISPIN, with @rich-a-64 on the 2nd step of the podium.

The win went to hotshoe @Gambelo who I seem to recall won a Big UKOPS on Easter Sunday & collected several other big scores along the way. When this fella gets chips he's tough to beat.

Mini UKOPS 16, 9.30pm Saturday, £3.30 entry £1,500 Guaranteed Turbo Rebuy Bounty Hunter

Poker's equivalent of a T20 thrash, a Turbo Rebuy BH, attracted good numbers, folks do love a bit of carnage despite what many say.

Yet another good run by @goonerjay (27th), while @JammThis completed a 3 timer for cashes in 15th.

Tremendous result in 6th for @Chuck215 who only recently returned after a Sky Poker MTT sabbatical, with @ThePokemon (whatever happened to the Pokemon craze?) in 5th, and @lori98 4th.

Heads Up hotpot @GRINTLER was 3rd, with the high volume high profit @SpigZ runner-up.

Was really pleased to see a small-stakes regular win this, it was a terrific result for @Burtace123 who beat a pretty decent field to claim the title.

Nice write up @Tikay10 and another mention! Didn't watch the dire 0-0 as I was out golfing, don't think I missed much. Will try to play at least a couple of tonight's tournaments but will also have at least one eye on the Masters, hopefully Rory can do it although I have a feeling Reed will be a tough nut to crack. 👍

    Decent summary.

    p.s.
Don't ever put money on Everton in a derby.
