*genuinely, and I do mean genuinely, didn't realise that rad was short for radical until you mentioned it a few weeks back. Nuts. I just thought it was a (rad) skate term that I used a lot in my salad days.

I never knew you were a skateboarder? So am I, never miss Rad each week, have to go to W H Smith to get it every Thursday, & I have often strutted my stuff at X Games.
I used to skateboard in my youth, which is quite some time ago. We had a skate park in Hastings with a bowl and everything. Interestingly it was originally some baths, then became a skate park, then became an ice rink and is now a skate park again.
We used to earn money by demonstrating and teaching the visiting students in the summer, it was a laugh. Some of the local youths have sussed out a simpler method of making money now, they just take it off the students.
That front cover of Rad is the nuts, especially TROWBRIDGE. That said, I was more of a Big Brother man. This, from Wikipedia: In one of the most bizarre episodes of the magazine's history, the subscriber list for Big Brother got mixed up with Taboo, one of Larry Flynt's hardcore magazines: Big Brother subscribers were sent ****, and those who subscribed to Taboo got a skate magazine.

Ha, that's very good.
I used to be on the Pro Circuit at one time, bowled loads of perfect 300's.
Goodbye Sky Joker from me.
