Football bet tonight - can't lose.

On Sky Sports tonight, high-flying Fulham take on the dunces from Sunderland, who are in freefall from the Premier League all the way down to the L1 or L2 basement.

Approx prices are;

Fulham 1/6

Draw 13/2

Sunderland 14/1

It's too obvious, Fulham can't lose. Or can they?

What you gonna be betting?

PS - no bet for me. If I were betting, I'd be going against the jollies, as 1/6 aint much fun, & 14/1 shots can win. Occasionally......

If the game were played 14 times in identical circumstances to this, how often would Sunderland win it?

Got to be Fulham hasn't it? It would set it up nicely for the last round of fixtures on the 6th May. No bet for me, but the boosted 15/2 for 2-0 on Sky is my shout.

It will be interesting to see how they shoehorn their cottage into the corner of Wembley Stadium if the purchase goes ahead too.

Sunderland to win (14/1) + Stoke to win (15/2) against a much rested Liverpool side tomorrow is a double @ 126.5/1. #propervalue. Fill ya boots.

On another subject. Jack Rodwell. What's happened there?

From Everton to Man City for £12 million in 2012, then to Sunderland for £10 million in 2014, with 3 England caps. He's now training with the U23 team, and hasn't made a first team appearance since September. He's only 27 years old, so should be in his prime.

He is currently on an eye watering £70k a week in the Championship. This will reduce to £43k a week in League One (poor fella). Something's gone badly wrong.

Fulham and BTTS at 3/2. Sunderland have scored in last 6 games but Fulham will win. Value?

16/1 in places Sunderland. I don't recall seeing a team as big as this in a Championship match!

Certainly wouldn't be betting Fulham at 1/5 :open_mouth:

    No bet for me.

    +1

Fulham are a very good side and have been playing well and scoring goals for fun, particularly this second half of the Season, I should think the majority of Sunderland players are only playing to try and get Contracts elsewhere.

    Fulham to win 4 - 1

Fulham seemed to make hard work of it, & Sunderland were a goal up for a good while, so those on at 14/1 had a good sweat, but the shortie got home comfortably in the end.

Apparently he has NOT got a relegation clause in his contract so he will still be on £70,000 a week in League One!
