Tonight's Champions League Semi-Final, num num num

The main course - Roma v Liverpool - is tomorrow, but tonight's starter is Real Madrid at home to Bayern Munich.

Was quite surprised to see the prices for the game. (NOT the prices to qualify, these are for 90 minutes tonight)

Real Madrid 5/4

Bayern Munich 19/10

Draw 3/1

I expected Real Madrid to be odds on here, & don't forget, Arjen Robben won't be available for the German side, he's not in the squad due to the early injury he collected in the 1st leg, which the Spaniards won 2-1.

Not sure I can rest a small bet on Real Madrid at odds against.

What do you guys reckon?

Based on the last match I definitely think there's plenty of value in betting a Real win. Bayern were awful, at home, last time out. Boateng is also out. Probably Neuer, too.

    Lump on Real for me.

I fancy Madrid so stuck £30 on. Bound to lose now :)

Amazed that Real are 2.38 and Bayern are 2.86 to win in normal time. Something iffy's going on.

    ^^^^

    Yes, it does look odd.

I've had a modest investment on Real Madrid, & will let it ride.

This is a very different Bayern from last week, they look great tonight.

I think 5 players are out from the last game.

What a great 45 minutes of football that was.

Oh my, what a howler that was.

That will set up a great second half, Bayern will really have to throw everything at Real now. They are not out of this yet.

Looking at the replays, that was inexplicable.

Amazed that Real are 2.38 and Bayern are 2.86 to win in normal time. Something iffy's going on.

That's just a function of a higher expected number of goals in the game. It's harder to end up 10-10 if you flip 20 coins than it is to end up 1-1 if you flip 2 coins - the more goals you expect to have in a game, the less likely the draw becomes.

About 3.5 goals were expected in this game (the over/under 3.5 goals was very close to 2.0 either side) - Way above normal for a game where both sides are fairly evenly matched. Hence the unusually long draw price.

Might just be the best game I've seen all season, certainly top three.

    Bayern were very unlucky.

Fantastic game, was rooting for Bayern in the end, feel they deserved it a bit more.

Can't wait for the final, and if Liverpool do progress really think they have a great chance of beating this RM team over 90 minutes.
